The menu looks delicious to me. I can't imagine in what way it would be considered unfriendly to children. As always, if someone in your family doesn't care for the available choices, there are lots of other restaurants with different styles of food. And chefs of nicer restaurants are usually happy to customize a dish if it contains ingredients you can't have or don't want.
I guess I just don't understand what you mean by "kid-friendly." Some kids like some foods, and other kids like others, just like adults. You can't please every guest's taste without having an extensive menu, and Disney restaurants feed too many people per hour for that to be efficient. I do sympathize; I usually go with a really small groups of two or three, so we're usually able to find a restaurant we all like. So, we have it a lot easier than a larger family.

I looked at the menu and, regardless of "friendly," I don't see any kind of "kid's menu" listed at all, even with smaller portions of the adult dishes.
