I think we will try it! Take the Skyliner from Epcot or DHS for a later dinner.

Any standouts you guys can recommend?

Congrats ... that can be a tough reservation to get! I hope you love it as much as I do! The ricotta appetizer is delicious with the epi bread. For an entree, I am a huge fan of both the chicken sugo pasta dish and the filet with truffled mashed potatoes. So much so, that we sometimes each get our own entree and then order that chicken sugo for the table and share -- it's that good (we're often staying DVC so have fridge and microwave for leftovers). Friends have enjoyed the escargot, sole, and tomahawk. The warm valhrona chocolate cake was delicious too. Definitely take some time to go out on the deck (you currently do have to wear your mask out there) and enjoy the view. Do be conscious of the skyliner hours ... depending on how late your dinner is you may need to uber/lyft back to your resort.

yes, we plan to to an Uber back to Gran Destino.

Hmm, I'll definitely have a back up if it's really that hard to get. We are going end of October, so got a while. And I'm thinking a lot more restaurants will be open by then, so hopefully less demand!

But what you describe sounds amazing!

Yes to the Ricotta appetizer! I have ordered the lamb shank on both of my recent visits and it will be my go to for as long as they keep it on the menu. Don’t miss out on the warm chocolate cake, it is delicious!

Everything on the menu is exceptional, and I've only had the very, very best service there. Enjoy!

Thanks everyone! I hope we can get an ADR.

We go in October, so I think I can't try until some point in August.

Since you're staying on property you can make your reservations at 60 + 10; plan for the hard to get reservations near the end of your trip.

I have to agree on the Ricotta appetizer; it was amazing! We shared the Rigatoni (braised chicken sugo) and the King Salmon, which were both really great. We finished with the Pistachio Mousse, which seemed perfectly balanced. Altogether, a top-notch experience.

My friends and I had dinner there about 2 weeks ago. Meal was incredible. I had the filet mignon, one friend had the rigatoni, and the other the herb fettucine. Everything was so good. My friends ordered a bottle of wine, but since I really don't drink, I only had a tiny sip. So the wine waiter offered to make me something I would like, and made me a mango iced tea lemonade that was amazing. Tasty, sweet, and refreshing. Seriously, a soda would have been fine with me, but he wanted to come up with something else I could enjoy while my friends had their wine and I do like iced tea lemonade.

It is on my short list to return to in September when I am there with my Mom.

My older daughter raved about the escargot appetizer. The garlic butter it's in also goes really well with the bread.

I had the ricotta, which was good, but I think I liked the escargot a bit better.

The fettuccini my dad got was probably the best entree we had at the table...

My husband and I each had the rigatoni, which was good, but not wow. My younger one said the same of the filet. My older one got the veal and that was really good. I think my mom just had gnocchi since she wasn't overly hungry.

The chocolate cake for dessert was a big hit with the kids...

Is it a prixe fixe menu or do you order off the menu?
Also, is it usually a character meal?
