Top Tips (in Newsletter)

The Newsletter (which I don't know how many people honestly read) has a Top Tips section today which I think pretty nicely states and answers some questions/complaints that I get and see waaaaaay too often. Now if only ppl would actually read it!

My two favorites:

"Think about the G-rated movies and television shows that Disney produces. If you wouldn't see a particular behavior in those shows, it is also not allowed on VMK.

Many players on VMK really enjoy trading, but some don't. Most of the time, those that don't want to trade put that info in their signature. Please respect that and ask first if you aren't sure."

I think of movies like Incredibles when that topic is brought up. At the dinner table, Dash and Violet say some pretty nasty things to each other (Vi even threatens him with a fork) that sit in the back of my mind when I see meanness in vmk.

That's true I did think Incredibles wasn't a very good kids film though. A good movie, but not so much aimed at kids. Especially with the whole possible infidelity issue. It also was rated PG wasn't it?

Certainly Disney hasn't always made kid-friendly/safe films before. What was that really terrible one with Arnold, Judge Dread or something? It was a long time ago... And that was rated R --- I remember everyone was really shocked that it was produced by Disney. But it wasn't aimed at kids.
