Dont know if anybody saw this last night, but they had the top 100 tearjerkers on tv:sad1: :sad1: , so I spent most of the 3 hours watching it blubbering like a baby, so it got me thinking, what is your top tearjerker film?

For me it has to be "The Champ", I remember crying for hours at the end of that film.

What's Yours??

I think Steel Magnolias was the first film I really sobbed at (apart from Dumbo - that part where his mum is rocking him through the bars of the cage).

Libby

An oldie called Farewell to Arms starring Rock Hudson and Jennifer Jones. What a film!

Ghost gets me every time, cry and cry, when I saw it in the cinema I thought I would need to leave, I cried so hard !

'Stand by Me' always leaves a small lump in my throat (just a small one mind - i'm a guy  :teeth: ).

Sad, funny and brilliant to watch :thumbsup2 River Phoenix would have became one of the best actors around imo.

I love Steel Magnolias too - gets me every time!
Another sad fav is Imitation of Life - the bit at the end with Sarah Jane running after the hearse........OMG....:sad1:

I'm probably alone with this one, but the film that always does it for me is Planes, Trains and Automobiles. The bit at the end when John Candy says how his wife has been dead for years and he hasn't been home since. :sad1: I first cried at it when I had just given birth to DS (blame the pregnancy hormones) but now I can't watch it without blubbing!

DH thinks it's hilarious that I weep over a John Candy comedy!

Sara. :)

I agree Nat, I also loved The Green Mile, great to see Its A Wonderful Life in there as well, wonderful film:thumbsup2

I didn't see the whole programme so I had a look at the link.........and I'd forgotten about My Girl and Titanic.........:)

I cried at every clip they showed, even Andi peters leaving 'live and kicking' set me off.

I'm crying now watching the natural world, the widdle cheetah is sooo sweet!

I think I must have cried at most of those that I have seen. I think most tears were shed for Titanic and when Rachel died in Cold Feet.

I do remember getting quite hysterical when Friends ended and the episode in Ally McBeal when Billy died:sad1:

Now I can cry at most things :confused3
