Top of the World vs DVC Epcot lounge

I tied searching and could not find this. Do BLT dues pay for Top of the world?
And then other perks like Epcot Lounge are paid through DVC marketing correct?

That is why white card members can get into Top of the World and not Epcot Lounge, correct?

It has to do with the level of perks extended to those who have a blue card verses those who bought resale after a certain date. And who Disney decided to extend the perks too. Just like the discounted Gold AP as nothing to do with the dues we pay its a perk extended to those that qualify for the perk. If it were tied to the dues then all DVC member would get to use it. People with white card and people with blue cards do not pay a different amount for their dues. Everyone is charges the same price per point at their resort. BLT does not charge a different due price to those that qualify to visit the lounge verses those that can't.

Yes, TotW is paid for by BLT member dues and part of the condo assoc. so any member can use it.

I "think" the viewing deck area maintenance is paid for with BLT dues as a part of the common areas of the resort.

The lounge itself is a "commercial unit" which is not funded by dues - Disney does have more options to restrict or alter the lounge and access to it. But because it's not funded by dues, improving profitability of the lounge by generally allowing all members access has been the policy.

I "think" the viewing deck area maintenance is paid for with BLT dues as a part of the common areas of the resort.

The lounge itself is a "commercial unit" which is not funded by dues - Disney does have more options to restrict or alter the lounge and access to it. But because it's not funded by dues, improving profitability of the lounge by generally allowing all members access has been the policy.

So viewing area paid by dues... the other part is a commercial lease?

Epcot lounge how is it paid? Whose budget does that come out of?

White card holders do have access to the deck when it's open.

Epcot Lounge is paid by DVD from direct sales profits.

I am assuming that is from our contract? Good to know. Thank you. So it gets maintenance through Disney... not through BLT dues it is seems like.

Dues don’t pay for the lounge. DVD pays for it through their budget so don’t think you are going to get much more! Lol

In 2016, DVD changed the rules and people buying resale are no longer eligible for membership extras like the discounted AP, shopping/dining discounts, etc.

So, those owners only have a white digital card, Owners who have contracts bought prior to 2016, or have direct points, get a blue card and can access all of those perks.
