What is your ideal first day/ and night of vacation. We look to do the poo/resort thing for when we arrive and then ride the Monorail and eat at OHANA's. It always seems to get the "Disney Mood" going!

Visit to Magic kingdom especially to do Pirates of the Caribbean then dinner at Narcoossees watching the fireworks

We are arriving late afternoon this year. So will probably settle things in the room first. Grab a bite to eat at Spoodles or somewhere else. Then top off the evening at Epcot. Watching Illuminations put me in the Disney mood.:)

After checking in take the shuttle boat to DTD until our room is ready at OKW.

For my wife and I, the most magical place is Main Street in the MK. Just walking down that street looking up at the castle give us the pixie dust fix we crave between visits.

If we happen to arrive on a Saturday when the MK is the most busy, a quick trip around the World Showcase at Epcot can also sprinkle the magic dust.

Just finding one of the great restaurants and then settling down to wait for fireworks is a blessing after a long road trip (we drive 10-11 hours to get to Orlando).

The best way to enjoy WDW is just to get there safely, and let your heart tell you what you want to do. Just relax and Enjoy.

::yes::

We love to check into BWV and then take a stroll over to WS. At WS we have a leisurely lunch at one of the great restaurants, then maybe catch one of the shows, then get an adult beverage and sit by the water taking in the beautiful sights and sounds of WS. AHHH! After a very enjoyable and relaxing afternoon we stroll back to BWV, get settled in our villa and then go to the pool for a little while. We then spend a relaxing evening strolling around the boardwalk/Crescent Lake, getting a snack on the boardwalk and then finishing up the day by watching Illuminations from our balcony.

Ooooohhhh, yuck. ;)

(I just couldn't help myself.)

Deb & Bill, I was wondering how long it would take for someone to coment on the poo at the resort.....hehehe.

We drive from Michigan straight thought he night, so we are a little tired after 20 hours in a car, but we like to go to world showcase and have a nice dinner and watch the fireworks. It is good way to unwind and doesn't take much effort, but gets us ready for Disney.

O.k., fine, but just don't do it in the Hot Tub!

Not very exotic but we usually arrive at MCO at 2:00 pm, pick up bags & car, eat lunch at Chick-Fil-A (haven't made it to our part of CT yet!), do the Publix/Wal-Mart supply run, and then check in. It's usually around 4:00 pm. While my DW waits in line, I go off to get our first frozen libations.::yes::

We'll get a Sassagoola pizza for dinner and just relax because like PCVWizard, Main Street at MK with breakfast at the CP always sets the mood for the week. It just doesn't get any better than that for us!!

We usually arrive around 4:30 pm Disney time, which is 9:30pm our time. By the time we have checked in and unpacked we just have time for a quick snack then off to bed.

Mind you, we are up bright & early next morning!

Andrew
