Top 8 Offsite Hotels

My favorite offsite is Candy Cane Inn, lovely surroundings, great staff, good free breakfast choices, a HOT hot tub, a relatively short walk to parks, plus it has its own dedicated shuttle. Rooms and pool are not large, but this has not been a problem for us.

However, if I can get the Entertainment Rate for Hojos, I go there. If you have young kids, they will prefer the pool at Hojos. If you want a larger room or one with a microwave in addition to a refrigerator -this is a good choice.

My sister loves the BWPPI for the location and their mini-suite. When she travels with her two daughters- each wants own bed (suite has two queens and fold-out queen) and lots of counter room for makeup etc. This also has a microwave/fridge. I have not stayed here, but she has many times, and plans her trips around the availability of this lodging.

I have also stayed at the Fairfield and the Tropicana. Fairfield was OK, but I prefer Hojos for roughly the same location. I would not go back to the Tropicana although they may have refurbished since I stayed there last. Didn't like the beds, noisy air conditioning, breakfast choices, decor, or pool.

As far as onsite, I have only stayed at DLH. Loved it!

Your Motel 6 is right beside/under the I 5 Freeway!! I don't know how well you all will sleep?? Those on the back side/ freeway side of Hojo's complain mightily of the traffic noise and not sleeping well.

Have you checked Del Sol Inn just behind Denny's??

We had a large ground floor room back behind the parking garage at Desert Inn and suites that was one of their non suite rooms but it was very roomy! It was Dh and me and 2 ECV scooters. It was nice to be back in the woodsy, garden area.

Except we could not see the fireworks. But it was August and we were in the park watching them. Plus there is an area at Desert Inn and suites you can end your evening watching the famous fireworks from their rooftop viewing deck. Where many eat breakfast. Although I send Dh to get a tray while I'm getting ready and we eat in the room!

My friends only stay at Best Westerns because of the room rewards 3 stays they get a free 1 night stay.

Just got back from DLR and Stovall's Best Western.

It was very nice inexpensive hotel. I would definitely stay there again. We usually stay at Quality Suites & Inn on Manchester.

I liked Stovall's a little better.

The room was larger is the main reason.

They are both clean and nicely decorated.

They both offer free breakfast (Quality offers fresh waffles but nothing like that from Stovall's).

They are both about the same walk (about .05 miles further for Stovall's).

Stovall's is in the process of adding an $8 parking fee.

I had the noisiest neighbor ever at Stovall's (not their fault) but I could hear everything like it was happening in my room. I have never experienced that at Quality (although you catch a little freeway noise but not much).

I am not sure which one I will choose next time we stay, probably depends on price (including parking) more than anything. They are both good inexpensive hotels.

Well we booked a last minute trip for April 5th. I found Anaheim Courtyard by the Marriott for $70 Canadian per night for a deluxe queen room. I thought this look pretty good and booked it. Hope we like it. Hey as long as it is clean we should be good as we will be in the park most of the time anyways!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I think that's in a bad place. I'm not even sure where you found it:confused3 Looks like it would be very helpful if used and more easily accessible.

We really like HOJO, Embassy Suites South and Hilton Suites. If ES and Hilton Suites were within walking distance we would probably stay there. They have a lovely breakfast and REALLY nice rooms.

HOJO is just awesome!

That's where we're staying, too! From March 31 until April 7. I'll let you know when we get there how it is. I'm hoping it's a good one! We got the same rates, I believe.
