Can you tell me your favorite 7 table service dinners for a weeks vacation?

2. Duke's Waikiki (we spent 3 days in Waikiki to start our vacation)
3. 'Ama 'Ama
4. Makahiki Dinner Buffet
5. Monkeypod

I could only come up with 5 - we did not like our dinner at Roy's Ko Olina and the last night we ate at Panda Express

Love the idea of this thread!

1. Ama Ama - We loved our breakfasts most of all. I can't wait to visit again.
2. Duke's Waikiki - We loved eating here on our last trip, but not sure we will venture into Waikiki just to eat there.
3. Roy's Beach House at Turtle Bay Resort (North Shore) - We loved eating here with our toes in the sand. Worth the drive for a great lunch or dinner. We ate here before Roy's took it over, but honestly food is secondary. Eating on the beach! Atmosphere is amazing.
4. Roy's Ko Olina - We liked our meal here, but next time we want to try something at Four Seasons.

We are not big foodies, so we choose our locations more for experience. We are planning another trip and will only go out of our way to visit Ama Ama and Roy's Beach House at Turtle Bay. The other two were good, but not necessarily worth repeating.

I can't wait to hear what others list as their top sit-down restaurants since so many people seem to rave about the food trucks and quick service (which is great), but I love that this thread is more focused for someone wanting a sit down meal.

We were there for 2 weeks in June, but this is what left an impression...

1. Dukes Wakiki
2. Ruth's Chris Waikiki
3. Makahiki buffet - breakfast or dinner were terrific!
4. Roy's Ko Olina - food was great, head server was really rude & horrible, assistant servers were good
5. Ama Ama - food was good, but cancelled other reservations and went to Makahiki instead

Ama Ama was a wonderful meal and we enjoyed it so much. Roy's was a close second.

Paradise Cove Luau - don't go for the food, although it wasn't bad. The show was great, we really enjoyed it.

Pizza Corner had fantastic pizza and it was awesome for a last night quick meal.

Monkeypod was nice, but crazy busy. Take advantage of Happy Hour pricing if you want to go there, otherwise see about making reservations. We are a party of 2 so we sat at the bar. For a side of fries, fish and chips, pulled pork sandwich (this came by itself with no side), a Diet coke and a beer, our total was ~$70. I did not think the meal was worth the money, but I still enjoyed it.

We did Duke's in Ka'anapali (Maui) and while a lot of people say it was a 'must', I was not very impressed. Probably my least favorite meal all week, though I think I could have ordered much better, because my husband really liked his meal and our appetizer was good.

Just tacos is probably my husbands and my favorite restaurant ever. We always talk about that place when recalling our trip or Mexican food lol

I second going to monkey pod for happy hour, we would order tonnes of half price food and take the leftovers hone to have for lunch the next day.

Same goes for the pizza. We would order a big ( and delicious) pizza for supper and bring home leftovers for lunch.

We absolutely LOVED Roy's in Ko'Olina. Best meal of the trip by a long shot. Loved Monkeypod and ate there twice. Even my picky kids loved it! Great cocktails there and local craft beer on tap. We thought Pizza Corner was too greasy for us, and didn't eat much of it at all (even threw out most of the garlic knots that others rave about). Maybe just an off night for them.

Our favorite meal from our trip was Hoku! Not heavily reviewed on this board but we really loved it. We also really enjoyed Alan Wong's. We also went to Noe and were blown away by it.

We did eat at Pizza Corner and Monkeypod - both were fine for what they were. We ate at the bar at Monkeypod and were filled after a really long day of travel. Pizza Corner was decent pizza - greasy, yes but that is what I expected from it when you saw it was those large size only style pizzas. We had a lot of fun at the Paradise Cove Luau but we really liked it being in walking distance. 'Ama'Ama was just ok - the other three nice dinners we had totally blew that place out of the water though.

We decided to not go to Roy's as we have a Roy's 15 minutes from our house that we go to often enough that why waste a meal on something not different?

We have booked brunch at Orchids at the Halekunian it gets a good reputation, then Roys, Dukes and Ama Ama.

Dukes in Waikiki is this near Marriot Waikiki? (Staying 1 night before cruis
Monkey pod happy hour? I will definately hit this with my husband. Is it worth it another night for sit down dinner with mom and daughter?

Was going to do paradise cove but now I think Aulani will have one. I'm kind of bummed because I wanted to see starlit and go to cove. But if aulani has one I will only experience one. Unless they are completely different
