Not cast members, but characters.

1. Mister Roger's by Eddie Murphy
2. Chris Farley's "Living in a van, down by the river guy".
3. John Belushi's Samaurai characters... especially the deli counter one.
4. Gilda Radnor's Rosanna Rosanna Dana
5. The cheerleaders ( with Wil Ferrell )

Honorable mention: Those creepy Victorian Age characters that were, I suppose, supposed to be gay.... whatever, they were CREEPY! :teeth:

1. Church Lady
2. Anal Retentive Chef
3. Gene Frenkle (BOC cow bell guy)
4. Land Shark
5. Wayne & Garth

The Coneheads
Wayne & Garth
Church Lady
Emily Litella, Lisa Loopner, Judy Miller, Rosanne Rosannadanna (all tied, I can't pick just one Gilda character)

Eddie Murphy as Gumby, dammit!
I loved Joe Piscopo's Sinatra, and Phil Hartman's Ronald Reagan as evil genius.

1. Roseann Roseannadanna
2. George & Yortuk Festrunk (two wild and crazy guys)
3. Emily Latella (Never mind)
4. Lisa Loopner & Todd DiLamuca (noogies)
5. Doug & Steve Butabi (What is love? disco guys)

What can I say, the old stuff is the best stuff.

I agree with most of the others, but here's some more honorable mentions:
The Makin' Copies Guy
Caveman Lawyer
Mary Catherine Gallagher
Gumby
Mr. Bill
and the Boston Kids and the Stoner Internet Dorm Room Guys

Dang, forgot those guys! They would not be funny today, but back then they were HILARIOUS!

Gilda Radner's characters would be at the top of the list for me, plus the Church lady. I'm surprised, yet glad, to see Gilda at the top of your list PapaDeuce, after all didn't you once say you did not find female comedians to be funny? ;)

The making copies guy is my favorite!!!!!!

I loved those spots with the kindly, old gent telling us why we should use his investment company: " And we shall keep track of the money you give us, perhaps on a list...and we will not keep that list on top of a desk, where anybody can see it, we will keep that list in a safe place, perhaps in a safe. And we will keep a copy of that list, in case the first list gets lost, and we too shall keep that list in a safe place, but not with the first list."

Or words to that effect. I also loved "Just Pat", Church Lady, Mike Myers "I am Dieter" (Sprocket). ( My husband and I often tell each other "Your diction grows tiresome, time to dance!") Eddie Murphy's "Velvet Jones" hocking his book "How To Be A HO". I think I loved almost everything Phil Hartman has ever done, especially the guy giving advice on how to sue people. One character would say something like " I always wanted to sue someone, but I thought I needed a reason!" and Phil Hartman would say "Not so!", and when he did the part about the luxury car disguised as an old junker: "Duct tape on the signal lights, STANDARD!"

The best line of all time: Dan Akroyd to Jane Curtain: "Jane, you igorant Slut!"
