OMG monicastanner, I thought I was the only one with the allears menus in a binder! I go even farther though, I have 3x5 cards for each restaurant and what sounds good off their menu. This way I don't have to take the binders with me on my trips! Anyhoo, I am not a breakfast eater, so I never do sit-down breakfast. If you're on the dining plan, go with dinners and if you're paying OOP, then stick with lunch, much cheaper. With that in mind, here are my top 5:
1. Boma (dinner)- Many things you've never tried, but enough "regular" food to keep even the pickiest eaters happy. I tried Boma on my last trip, and liked it so much I called the next day and changed an ADR to go back the next night! The zebra domes are everything I was expecting and more!
2. Le Cellier - There's a reason it's such a hard ADR to get! Filet mignon melt in your mouth tender.
3. Crystal Palace - With kids that age, a few character meals are a must! I went to Crystal Palace with a friend (no kids) and we still had all the characters stop by our table at least twice. The food was pleasantly delicious for a buffet.
4. '50's Prime Time - The food is good enough, but go hear for the atmosphere! They made my daughter set the table. Our waiter asked her if she had washed her hands and she said yes. He asked her what color the soap was and when she didn't know, he marched her over to the bathroom to "wash up".
5. Chef Mickey's - I have never eaten here, but I was at Concourse Steakhouse (was next door to Mickey's) on my birthday last year, and it sounded like everyone was having such a good time I wished I had gone there instead!
In the end, though, it often depends on what your family likes. Just remember, if you don't have a car, going resort to resort takes forever! Dining at the monorail resorts is easiest.
