DH is going to Orlando for a conference with a group of adults who want to eat out for dinner, but also want a good deal for their money (some of them are even cheap!!) We have been to WDW several times and know the best family friendly restaurants so we have some places planned. They will not have park admission so can't go into the parks (sigh - no Le Cellier for them).

Places already on the for sure list (Ohana, Cape May Buffet, Buffet at SOG). Please tell me your top 5 out-of-the-park restaurants for good food and decent value. (They won't be going to V&A's or Shulas - too spendy!) Even restaurants outside of Disney would be great too. Thanks!

When you say 'cheap' - do you mean $5 per person, $10 per person, or $20 per person? For 'cheap' try Trail's End at Fort Wilderness... It's the same meal they serve at Whoop-De-Doo Revue but without the show (about $15 per adult). Go to AllEars to see the menu, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Based simply on the name of this thread, "Top 5 non-park restaurants," my list (in alphabetic order) would be:
  • Artist Point
  • Boma
  • California Grill
  • Citrico's
  • Flying Fish
(I've never been to V&A.)

However, adding the qualifier about getting "a good deal for their money (some of them are even cheap!!)," all of the restaurants in the list above are likely to be too expensive.

Off-site, I really like Bahama Breeze at 8735 Vineland Avenue, Orlando, FL 32821, 407-938-9010. Fun, island atmosphere; good food, and good value.

non disney and cheap hmmmmmmm does McDonalds count? LOL sorry if i offeded anyone here. im just in a good mood. thanks

To qualify the "cheap" comment - Boma and Artist Point would probably be okay but V&A's and Shulas are too expensive. At their last conference, DH had to go to Shula's by himself because no one would ante up the cost of that meal. Too bad, because DH said it was awesome. We are well versed in several Disney restaurants, but I'm just curious what everyone else's top restaurants would be. Thanks!

Here are my top 5:

Yachtsman Steakhouse
Flying Fish
Spoodles
Jiko
Boma

Of these, Yachtsman and Flying Fish may be too pricey. If so, I suggest Palio and Portobello Yacht Club. I would really try either Jiko or Boma as they may enjoy seeing the ALK very much. After eating at Spoodles or Flying Fish, the group could go to Jelly Rolls, ESPN or Atlantic Dance for some fun.

Kona Cafe
Spoodles
Artist Point
Citrico
Jiko

our favorite resort restaurants are whispering canyon cafe & artist point at the wl, ohanas at the poly, spoodles or flying fish at the bwi, jiko at the akl & victoria and alberts or citricos at the gf.

Kona and Boma are my 2 favorite restaurants for dinner at WDW -- in or out of the parks.

5 favorite non-park restaurants:

Wolfgang Puck (upstairs, you need ressies)
California Grill
Ohana
Citrico
Flying Fish

we liked:

ohana
chef mickey
and Kona Cafe

btw our Ohana dinner was all you can eat and 90 bucks for the 5 of us...the cheapest TS the whole trip and the best!!!

I can not say it is CHEAP but I can say you get a good bang for your buck!!!

It was delicious and ALOT of food!!!

would be great for a meeting or professional type setting with a lot of adluts given the all you can eat idea as well as an easy set menu!!

Artist Point
Boma (like it better than Jiko)
Narcoossee's
California Grill

Boma
Boatwright's
Olivia's
Concourse Steakhouse
Grand Floridian Cafe
