Top 5 Dining Experiences at the Disneyland Resort

I've only eaten at two places on that list! Blue Bayou is a favorite of ours. In fact, when I spent my first ever birthday on Disney property, we had lunch at the Blue Bayou.

We ate at Steakhouse 55 for my daughter's 1st birthday, but we had breakfast, so I don't know if that counts. We have yet to do the Plaza Inn breakfast because we often go to DL during times when the park opens super early. I can't justify spending glorious morning hours sitting down to breakfast. However, I might do this is we could do the latest possibly seating and make it an early lunch.

We are going to spend one day during Spring Break at California Adventure, and I seriously want to do Carthay Circle if it's in the budget. Have to convince DH that this is something he needs to do!

I didn't expect that I would have eaten at all of these places! I'm surprised.

I have to agree with the #1 spot. I love, love, love Napa Rose. It's an indulgence, but so worth it. I've never had anything there that I didn't adore. More often than not, I end up getting something that's roll your eyes delicious. :bitelip:

Did somebody say dining?!?!?!? :goodvibes

Val & I have been fortunate enough to eat at 3 of Tom's 5.
...Or should that be 4 of Tom's 6 since we have done both Napa Rose and Cathay Circle.
.......Or should that be 5 out of 7 since we've also done Club 33. :thumbsup2

Next trip out west is coming up in about 3 weeks but time will be tight since we are on a BSM trip. I'm not sure we even want to try Blue Bayou based on some other reviews of it and the difficulty of actually getting in. The other one we haven't yet tried is the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ, which we might consider for next trip.

As far as the others on Tom's list, yes we agree with Plaza but not for breakfast. We really like lunch there. Val & I will usually split the chicken dinner and a desert. Cheap, good meal.

Steakhouse 55 was very good the two times we've tried it. Good steak. Loved the 21 layer chocolate cake. We really enjoyed the breakfast we had there as well. If you have difficulty recognizing some of the folks in the pictures on the wall just ask your server for the cheat sheet.

Napa Rose is our favorite place. We've done the regular dining room, chef's counter and just eating in their lounge. All good choices but Chef's Counter is a place that I dream of getting back to. Right Mary Jo?

Jeff- We only did BTRBBQ because it was part of the BSM welcome dinner on the first day at Disneyland. Perhaps your itinerary will include that as well?

Definitely agree on Steakhouse 55 for breakfast. YUM! Here's my huevos ranchers from the breakfast menu. Totally tasty and a fun little hidden Mickey too.

The Chef's Counter at Napa Rose is possibly the most divine and wonderful experience in the world. If only at every meal, I could get someone to ask me what I like and then get someone to bring me wine that goes with it? And oh that mac and cheese.

Love that mac and cheese. We found out we can get it in the NR lounge as well.

Oh really? Tempting!

Would you believe both times I've been at the Chef's table, I specifically told them I *LOVE* cheese and had never gotten the mac and cheese with a dish? I finally had to request a serving of it on the side.
