Have never been able to stand Barbra Streisand in movies.

That’s what my father used to say.

But he grudgingly conceded that she was funny in What’s Up, Doc?

His prior opinion returned when we saw her next comedy, For Pete’s Sake.

My father could not stand Barbra Streisand in any manner, film, records, TV appearances, etc.

I was never really a fan, but What's Up Doc was hilarious in spots.

And decades after it was released, DW rented Owl and Pussycat. It must of been a shock for 1970 audiences to see Babs curse and act skanky after her previous wholesome film appearances. She probably wanted to free herself from that typecasting.

Owl and Pussycat was pretty hilarious too. She fired off some good zingers toward George Segal.
I remember this one line, where she and George were crashing at his friend's apartment. The friend overhears Babs tell George "I may be a prostitute but I am NOT promiscuous."

I’ve never been a fan but I promised to watch Whats Up Doc? It actually sounds pretty good.
