Our Top 10 things to do, in no particular order, are:
1. eating out
2. playing miniature golf
3. getting ice cream(we like the place in Coligny)
4. going to the outlets(okay maybe not my husband's favorite, but he's good natured and comes along) and going to Kilwins for ice cream(kids) and peanut brittle(me)
5. swimming(kids and DH, I sit on the steps in the pool and read;) )
6. Sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch and reading(again, me)
7. riding bikes
8. Unbirthday Party(kids)-actually any and all of the kids activities
9. Beach Nature Walk
10. B'lou's stories

ETA-I have to make it our Top 15
How could I forget??
11. SHANNON TANNER-the singer at Shelter Cove-we love love love him!!!!
12. The big park in Sea Pines-the kids love it
13. playing shuffleboard and Ping Pong
14. Relaxing in the hammocks
15. Climbing the lighthouse

I know I am forgetting one...

1. Breakfast at Signe's Bakery
2. Watching out for dolphins at the resort's marina and in back of the main lodge

6. Sitting in Big Murgie's Den, reading the Island Packet
7. Getting to use free wi-fi at a Disney Resort
8. Visiting with Shadow
9. Playing pool in Big Murgie's Den
10. Going on the member's tour around the resort and seeing the Hidden Mickeys. As many times as I've been on that tour, I never remember from year to year where the Mickey's are and am always surprised when she points them out to me.

Thanks for all the great suggestions.

The pirate party is on Wednesday's. Mr. Crab picks you up at 1-1:30pm and it's called Pirates of the Cari-bogg. I don't know the details, but it takes places on the grounds...not at the beach.

There are haunted house tours in the Savannah area that we are looking into. The wife/inlaws are nuts about doing this! Woot!

Thanks again,
Bfrosty.

Go down the pool slide
Relax on the balcony
Play pool in Big Murgies
Take the Behind the Ears tour if you haven't before
Do the Hidden Mickey hunt
Try to answer the trivia question at the Mercantile
Go to Sea Pines and look for Gators
Learn about the Gullah culture (really interesting)
Walk over to Shelter Cove and check out the cute shops
Have dinner at the Kingfisher on the night they have the magician
Go to Savannah and have a beer at Moon River Brewing (it is totally haunted-it is an old building from the 1700's and Ghost Hunters went there and said it was haunted- search Moon River Brewing ghost on youtube)
Take a garden tour in Savannah
Goofy Bingo
Family Campfire
Eat at Kenny B's French Quarter Restaurant
Hit the beach

Oh I love those haunted tours-we have the kidlets with us, so none for us on vacation, but we've done thme in the past-the Williamsburg and New Orleans ones were my favorites. Have fun!!

I can't get anyone to go on a ghost walk with me!!:sad2: The big chickens!!

Our favorite of all favorites is to pack flashlights for a night time walk on the beach. You can see some cool little critters then. (You have to be careful during the turtle nesting season though, they won't come ashore if they see light.) We do this on the occasions that there isn' a full moon. Sigh!

Eat, I could name 10 or more restaurants if I have to or I could name 10 different sauces at Wild Wings.

There are at least two ghost tours here in Savannah. The Old Trolley tours and the Hurst Tour.

I have done the Old Trolley tour...it was a blast. My niece has done the hurse tour and she loved it.

Just remember to take everything with a grain of salt.

Breakfast at Signes'! We have driven over to HHI just to eat there (and to visit the resort!

The next time you go there, check with the turtle "experts" at the Coastal Discovery Museum. They used to tell you to put a piece of red cellophane over the beam of your flashlight (securing it with a rubber band) when you go to the beach at night. You can still get enough light to be able to see, but the red doesn't bother the turtles! I suggested calling the museum, because it was several years ago that we were told this, and they may have changed their theories.... ;)

Our list would include:
10: Meeting Shadow and B'Lou
9: the WIDE balcony and awesome rocking chairs
8: the great cm's! The lifeguards made my DD "Princess of the slide" after overhearing she was hesitant about going down and then she went and we couldn't get her off!!
7: the WIDE beach for building sand castles and gentle waves for cooling off
6: sighting dolphins in the ocean
5: bike paths to everywhere!
4: Shannon Tanner at Shelter Cove entertaining
3: Campfire and learning the "cheeky, cheeky" and eating s'mores
2: Star Spangled BBQ and Pool party and all that DANCING! 6yo didn't miss a dance and loved the Mama macarena line and the Daddy YMCA dances!!!!!
1: just the most relaxing, carefree and very family oriented vacation - so priceless!

We are going back in June and maybe we'll explore more of the island, but not sure as we loved just hanging out at the beach and resort!!!!
