Toothsome Chocolate Emporium

walked in and asked for a reservation.
I was told i could sit immediately if i wanted to sit outside or wait 30 minutes to be seated inside.
Decided to wait... by the time i had my name in my fiance was asking me to run over and say what i wanted for a milkshake in that line... I was rushed, so i went for the trusted brownie.. and MAN.. it was GREAT!
split the actual brownie with my son.
My daughter got the all chocolate one and it was too much for her to finish.
We also ordered 2 sodas and everything came out to $33.
Not bad at all.
I sat right next to where all the completed shakes and sundaes were coming out and snapped some pictures.
We finished and looked around the store part and by the time we were done we were called to our table.

We ended up getting the bread.. which was GREAT.
We also purchased the fries.... VERY small for the price.
I would suggest skipping that.
They were at LEAST tasty.

Our main course of food... everyone enjoyed theirs.
The two appetizers, two adult meals, and two child meals came out to $70.70.
The waitress we had was VERY nice and awesome all around.
There were a few hairs in my meal and the waitress boxed me up a whole new one to go.
The manager came over and said it was possible there was some corn husk in there too.
Wasnt a fan of that excuse.
Overall the meal was GREAT though.
The wait for food once you were seated was actually a little lengthy.
The server made the hair situation fine and i REALLY enjoyed myself.
I would highly recommend it.

The server also gave my son a FREE small side of chocolate covered bacon.

Fabulous Toothsome pictures..........glad you enjoyed it........

The last picture of the parking garage????

We stopped in to look on Labor Day, and they were seating for savoury food during lunch time so YMMV.

If you have food allergies, be forewarned that this is going to be challenging for a while. My husband can't do eggs, and no one was sure if the ice cream or the marshmallows used in the food would be safe. Neither were they sure about the breads like hamburger buns or breadcrumbs.

The TM's weren't sure of what was in things behind the cases when we went for allergies aside from nuts and there wasn't an allergen book. We were able to talk w someone about savoury options and we did get options for alternate milkshakes, but we just beat the rush.

The packaged sweets had the allergen info on it, though, so he was able to get a bourbon marshmallow.

yes... looked like a group of late teenagers or young 20 somethings.
One got on the ledge of the parking garage and extended his arms.
He kind of side stepped along the wall.
He wasnt up there too long... he didnt jump lol.
I think he got down before anybody reported him.

At Universal?

Damo in one of the pictures there is some figure standing on the top level of the parking garage

It is only visible if you enlarge it quite a bit

That is what some posters are talking about

Now it is time to drop that subject here
A new thread can be made to discuss it if you want to

Let us get back on topic in this thread

I will be removing posts that continue to discuss garage man

My spouse and I ate here last week. We were very happy with our meal. The only lowlights were the wait for the milkshake as our dessert (it took 30 minutes to come to our table) and the milkshake itself. We got the Key Lime Shake to share and it just wasn't good enough. That said, the Key Lime pie piece which comes in the shake is to die for and I let the management know they should serve that as is. We also had the chocolate bread (very good), one of the Old Fashioned drinks (AMAZING), the Tchatchos (good and enough to feed an army), and the Burger with Meatloaf (A+ - our favorite dish). We agreed that next time, we would share the choco bread, 1 entree, and 1 dessert (probably a sundae) with some alcoholic drinks b/c they serve you Cheesecake Factory portions which we were SO not expecting (but we SO appreciated).

Also, we were very pleased with the character interaction we got. One thing I noticed - if you're surfing on your cells, she skips your table. If you are not attached to a device, she flits on over and has some nice long conversations with you (we got two, b/c the milkshake took so long:)...

I just want to know about the waffles. I saw on the brunch menu (served all day it said) that there were waffles. Wasn't I just requesting a WAHO style, but more unique to come to city walk. Give me waffles or give me death! (Mostly because I can't drink the milkshake unless I wan to effectively ruin my vacation.)
I hope everyone else enjoys them though!
On the $12 stance.. I think it's crazy, but it's also a "Crazy" milk shake. Specialty. With extra deserts. They look to be about 5 desserts in one! When in rome....!
I hope everyone enjoys. Someone let me know if they see the waffles on the limited menu. I may not be able to eat there until after their official opening though. I think I saw it stated for September 22.

Check damo's food/menu sticky
For the menu
Oh I have. It's on there under brunch.
Just don't know if it's on the "limited" menu of before their official opening. People have said that not all items are available.
I may not get to eat there next week though so it may be a mute point.
Waffles!

Bah on the allergies. Maybe by next month they'll be better...just need some df/gf options - dinner is less critical, he'll just eat a burger without the bun, etc, but dessert is harder (and his favorite).

Pictures of the shakes! To die for! They look amazing!

My god daughter has serious and some not so serious allergies and found them to be excellent.......she was there a week ago...........maybe someone wasn't trained properly for previous poster.........not an excuse though......

So nice you gave us all the details

I love getting first hand info !

If you had burgers from other places in the park, would you say toothsome burgers were the best over the other places?

Sad to say we had to leave 3 days early thanks to Hermine (we had to drive through the area we expected to be hit to get home) so as far as burgers at Universal we had some at Monsters Cafe (burger dry and kinda gross but fries very good) and at Captain America Cafe (burger better but fries not good) We had to give our other Citywalk plans a miss. I'm sure you know it was better than a quickserve burger

We did however eat at Manny's Chophouse (new location on 192) and burger loving son ordered one there. It's a steak house and the steaks, steak tips, and ribs we had there were very good. Price was about the same but the burger there was overcooked from how he ordered it and he said it was dry and fries were good but just fries (he did eat it all though and we would recommend Manny's too). The burger at Toothsomes was about the same size as the steakhouse burger but he was like a whole different kid eating it. He loves food and as a type 1 diabetic has to be careful and skip some things he loves but he is a quiet moody teenager too. He is still talking about wishing we could have gone back there so he could get another burger there and it's been 2 weeks. I don't know if it was the pretzel bun or the cook or seasoning or the homemade chips, but he really liked it.
