toothpaste trick (carry on luggage)

I used this toothpaste trick the last time we flew and it worked like a charm. We we all are very fussy about our toothpastes, all four of us have to have our own special brands and none of them come in the smaller travel sizes. So this last time I just squirted each of our respective favorite pastes on our respective toothpastes, put a small piece of plastic wrap around the brush part and slipped them in their respective plastic cases. The toothpaste did not dry out nor did it set off any alarms in the security lines. All of our great big fat tubes of toothpaste went in the checked baggage and we could travel a bit lighter.
