Tooth pain in DS10

DS10 has had tooth pain for a couple weeks now. I have taken him to the dentist where he had a thorough exam and cleaning as well as xrays. They said his teeth were perfect; not even the smallest cavity. Yet, he still has pain. He does have a couple hardly loose teeth but he says it hurts farther back. The dentist also said there is no sign of any infections either. We did find that he has a crossbite. His teeth are fairly crowded and I don't know if that has something to do with it?? I'm stumped??? I have no idea what it could be. Does anyone have any experience with this? :confused3 Thanks!

Could be his sinuses-does he sniffle or have allergies?

This year I have had problems with allergies which have exhibited very different symptoms than usual. Apparently they bother my sinuses which then results in tooth pain. When I use zyrtec, it goes away. But I could swear it was a problem with a tooth. Could that be a possibility?

No kidding. Well this is news to me. He definitely has allergies and is prescribed allergy syrup that he takes every night. I wonder if I should start giving it to him more often with the season change like the script is written. He only needed it once a day before. It's written for twice a day though. Thanks. :)

I had a tooth that hurt like that and projected to another tooth as well. Turned out it was killing itself from the inside - resorption or something like that. I had to get a root canal. I did have a car accident some years before and was hit there with an airbag. I've wondered if that maybe caused it somehow.

Tooth pain can be excruciating. I hope that he finds relief soon.

His tooth pain is on the bottom. My search for sinus issues/allergies says that it usually affects the top teeth. Can it also affect the bottom?

Get him to an oral surgeon for a second opinion to be on the safe side. If he is in pain, you have to find the source.

Tooth pain is the worst thing in the word, coming from someone who had a horribly infected molar that needed a root canal.

Usually it's the top but sometimes it feels like the bottom for me. Tooth pain can be very odd. Even when you have a real problem with only one tooth it can make other teeth feel like they are the problem tooth.

I wonder if there's a little bit of gum recession? That doesn't happen often in children, but it can if they're really bearing down with the toothbrush.Even a tiny bit of exposed root can cause a lot of pain. Barring that, I'd get a second opinion. He's not making it up and you have to figure how why he's hurting.

I also second the second opinion. In the meantime, get him the sensodyne toothpaste for kids. I have sensitive teeth and I use sensodyne every now and then and it really helps.

If his teeth are crowded, it could be anything from a new tooth coming in before the old one is falling out or a cavity between the teeth.

What did the dentist say about sending him home while still in pain and with no answers? I would want another dentist if that happened to me.
