Toontown sept23

Hi! Sorry if this has been clarified before..
My sister, her DH and DS are spending one day at DL (fri sept 23).
They are not attending the halloween party.
She is freaking out because it seems as if toontown will be closed that day (disney's site). Her DS only talks about going to Mickey's house!
anyone knows?

Toontown usually opens about an hour after the park (so 10:00am on a 9:00am park opening day for example) and then will close in early afternoon on a Halloween party day. There is an unofficial "pre-party" in Toontown on Halloween party nights (begins at approximately 4:30pm on a 6:00pm party night) so it will likely close to general park goers around 2:00pm if I had to guess. But you should have those few morning hours where it is open for your sister to be able to take her kiddos.

So she assumed it will be closed...

That actually is rather weird, especially comparing it to the schedule for this Monday. But Disneyland isn't the best or most timely about putting things up on their website.

I'd keep an eye on it. If it IS closed on that day, then she should find Mickey on their way into the park (they always put characters out in the big City Hall area (can't remember the name of the area) to catch people so they don't go clog up lines LOL) and purposely meet him to give his handlers a chance to indicate that the whole place is Mickey's house, even if his house-house is being checked for termites or something LOL.

From what I've read, Toontown closes 30m before the pre-party. So you should have enough time to see all of it before it closes.
If he loves Toontown, go for the opening, like someone else said, it's 1 hour after park opening. But a bunch of the characters show up to open Toontown.
