Does this place still open at 10am every morning? Does it ever open with the rest of the park or always an hour after?

Try to be the family that opens Toontown :earsboy:

Nobody has ever told me that Toon Town doesn't open until 10:00!!!!!! I didn't know that! I was totally planning on hitting the gates early and running straight there. WOW!! :earseek:

Thanks for this info...

Now, how do you be the family to "open" it? I just recently heard this term about Blizzard Beach. What's it mean? :confused3

A couple of years ago, we were at Toontown just before it opened on a chilly, drizzly day. There was NOBODY else around except DW, DD, and I. There was a rope drop at Toontown and we were the ceremonial family to open that section of the park. Mickey personally escourted us through Toontown pointing out things in his house and Minnie's house. It was AWESOME. We have some great pics and a certificate for being the opening family that day. I have only heard of a few people doing this. I don't think there are loads of people there at opening time(at least in the off season). :earsboy:

Micca were you waiting at the train station or by the fantasyland entrance?

We got off the train at Toontown station and were on our way to walk through the buildings and it was cordoned off. We stood there for a minute or two when a CM came by and said Toontown was opening at 10 (it between 9:50 and 9:55). When 10 'o clock rolled around, they dropped the rope and we walked toward Mickey's house and out comes the mouse ::MickeyMo It was so cool to get to do this, I think if there had been a family with small children we would not have been picked, but we were the ONLY ones there. :earsboy:
