Toontown on a summer Friday night

I am asking for my cousin who is going to be there May 21-25. She is thinking about doing this on Friday May 22nd.
Would this be a good time to do Toontown? I was thinking after the fireworks Toontown would be less crowded than during the day.

Does anyone have any personal experience with Toontown on a summer night?

On nights when Disneyland Park has fireworks, Mickey's Toontown will close about 2.5 hours before showtime and will remain closed for the rest of the evening.

You could try to sneak into Toontown...if you don't mind being hit/burned by fallout from the fireworks.

A good time to go would be right before Toontown closes (about an hour before). Most people try to squeeze it in earlier so that they don't have to rush and worry about not having enough time to explore it.

Toontown closes at about 8:30 every night. It does not reopen after the fireworks.
