Took a hike, car window smashed, purse stolen

So this morning, after dropping my kids off at summer school, I decide to go for a short hike at the park accross the street. I get back to find my drivers side window smash, purse gone (yes I know I should have put it in the trunk) and a rock on the passenger side floor. Not only is the window smashed the passanger side door panel is smashed as well.

The only thing missing was my purse and it only had $11 in cash and about $20 in coins. But it had 2 credit cards, 1 check card, my drivers license. What a pain.

I have called and cancelled the cards. I still need to go to DMV to get a new license and call the insurance.

This is N O T what I had planned today.

Sorry! That sux! I had my 3 month old Razr phone stolen at the gym... it's always a pain to deal with stuff like that, but when you were trying to do something "good" for yourself...

WOW, that's lousy! Shame on them! I hope $30 was worth the risk! As much as I don't understand what drives people to steal from others, I've never been in the position of such desperation.

Thankfully insurance will cover the replacement of the window and door panel that was smashed. They are also covering a rental for the 2 days while the repair is being done. Of course I have to pay the $100 deductable but it "saves" me about $500.

I got a call today and they found all my credit cards, drivers license and other cards that were in my purse, along with a red wallet that was NOT mine, but not my purse.

Sorry to hear about your ordeal, that really stinks! I do not understand people who do things like this or any other dishonest thing for that matter, just makes me mad.
