What is the price difference between an annual pass and a 10 day no expir park hopper?

I just realized if we go in December, 2010 like I want and then for my son's 7th b-day in October 2011 the annual pass might make sense; however we only go for 5-6 days each time. So maybe not....

I'm no expert, but had a minute to kill. Here's what it looks like to me from the ticket buying website:

Park Hopper 10-day is $295 (no extras/waterparks etc...)
but, if that means you have to go 10 days at once. If you add no expiration option(what you'd want if you're going to split your stays to 5/6 days each) then it's $504

An annual pass is $489 (no extras.waterparks, etc)

Alternatively, buying a 6 day is $383

So, if you KNOW you are going to go for at least 10 days over the next year (365 calendar days from your first visit), then I'd say the annual pass is the way to go.

You can get added benefits of being a passholder, more discounts, like on dining, merchandise, resort. So you can save quite a bit by having this, plus you can get discounts on hard ticket events like the halloween party. And there's always passholder exclusive merchandise, mostly trading pins.

On the other hand, with a MYW ticket, you can add the entries into the water parks/DQ. If that's a big thing for you, then go with this ticket. This ticket is also better when your trips are going to be more than 1 year apart.


But if you're just looking for a ticket into the four main parks, just go with the annual pass. And enjoy the savings.
