Too short to ride!

Because then you get to ride again, like an extra fastpass. Plus the older kids get to ride an extra time as companions on childswap pass. Or, for example, we had won two Dream FastPasses and combining with the childswap, we were all able to ride quickly instead of only two of us being able to use the Dream FP's. Works for us, YMMV.

i guess ive always just looked at the riderswap as a way to help out people who cant ride together because of a child or person with a disability. not as a free front of the line pass. i dont think that is what its intended for at all. but i guess of it works for:confused3

But if you aren't able to combine, then you are possibly still making someone ride alone. If I have my dh, oldest and baby with me, with Fast Pass only someone would still have to ride alone since there are only three Fast Passes. DH could stay with the baby while I ride with my dd, but then he would have to ride alone on the remaining Fast Pass. No, it is not a free front of the line pass, but there shouldn't be a penalty of not being able to use your Fast Passes because you would like to take advantage of the Child Swap. I guess if you don't mind someone always riding alone, you could just use the Fast Passes. We like to enjoy things together, so we will continue to use both when we can.

whatever works for ya.

IMTHATGIRL, wow, your daughter is 8 and 58 inches? How tall are you and her dad? My oldest will be 9 in February. Unless she grows 2 inches by May, she won't be riding RNR or Primevil whirl yet again. That just gives us another reason to go back the next year. She is very petite and of course having a mother that is 4'11 and father that is 5'6" doesn't help her. Being short does have it's advantages. They let me use the Ski Patrol area because i am under 60 inches. lol

im 5'8 and my husband is 6'1.

You have a 4 year old who is 48"? My 6 year old (will be 7 in Dec.) is only 46" with shoes. He may be on the short side of average, but 48" at 4 must be on the tall side.

My dd4 (will be 5 in Dec) is 45 inches tall right now - just measured at a local amusement park last Sunday. My ds7 is 52 inches. I never thought they were that tall, but maybe they are. I know dd4 is an entire head taller than her best friend at preschool (all the kids are 4).

Ds7 was 5.5 when we went last trip (Nov 2006) and he was tall enough for the 40" rides but not the 48". It doesn't matter because he's not interested in riding anyway (not the bravest soul). Dd4 can't wait until next November because she will ride everything.

My son was 7 last year when we went. He just barely touched the bar. So, he was able to ride rockin' roller coaster a couple of times until there was a new CM there and that CM said no.

This year he will be fine. He is 8.

Yes, my kids are short.

when we tried to this on rockin roller coaster the guy took all of our fastpases for the rider switch. there was really no need for the fastpasses. which i wish we knew, we wouldnt have wasted a fast pass on them.

but we did have the choice, if we wanted to keep the fast passes we could if the first party went through the standby.

I'm confused by your post. I'm not really sure what happened here. Could you elaborate? Do you mean that he wouldn't let you use fastpass and then rider switch?

From my experience there is a need for the fastpasses and they aren't wasted. The first parent goes through the fastpass line with the kids. Then when they get off, the second parent uses the rider switch pass with the kids. If we didn't have the fastpasses, the first group would have had to go through the standby line.

I also didn't really understand your comment about it not being a "free front of the line pass". It explicitly states that the point of the rider switch is so that both parents can enjoy the ride with their kids. Yes, if the second parent wanted to ride alone they could just use their fastpass. But if they want to experience the attraction with their child(ren) they would need to use the rider switch. I don't see where using the rider switch for the second parent and two kids that already rode is cheating or trying to get to the front of the line. (This is exactly what they depict in the disney video and in their description of rider switch.) Maybe I misunderstood. :confused3
