Are we too old for a Character Breakfast?

Me and my partner are in our 40's and have never been to Disney before. So we thought we would try and do it all. This includes the CB. So are we too old to do it. Will people look at us funny?

So which would be everyones favorite Character Breakfast?

oh good grief no...you certainly are not too old. You certainly won't be the only adults with no kids there. Go for it. ;)
We have done a few of them and its great fun. I actually really enjoyed Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary Resort as they have all the old school characters like Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald etc...

Nobody is too old for a character breakfast. In fact nobody is too old for anything at Disney - that was the whole basis of Walt's vision - parks for everyone :) Quite often at Disney anyone looking at me and DD would have a hard time figuring out which one of us is the adult. I think Walt would be proud of me :hyper: Now go do your bit to make him proud too and book that character meal :wizard:

100% not too old, you will see all ages with and without children.

We have done all the breakfasts, can't say I really enjoyed any. I don't really eat til lunch time so spending $100 or using dining credts on breakfast doesn't go down well with me.
I enjoyed Crystal Palace but only because we got in the park before opening to get some pics with no people.
I will leave it to others to say which is best for food.:goodvibes

DH and I have done several character breakfasts at CP and Tusker house at Ak. Your never too old for disney and that's why we love it. We are just a couple of big kids. :yay:

As others have said no you will see all ages there with or with out kids.

I would say the best quality food is either 1900 Park Fayre (buffet) which also has great characters from Alice in Wonderland. Or for food brought to your table, so less frenetic, OHana. This is Lilo and Stitch. The character buffet at the Beach Club is also a good one.

We are another 2 adults with no children who do all the character meals. Our favourite is Donald's Safari breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. It's a must do for us every trip - the buffet selections are excellent and the character interaction is fantastic too!

Akershus over in Norway at Epcot's World Showcase is another fab option. The princesses are here and that was another lovely meal.

Enjoy :)

Never too old! We used to do character meals before DD.

We love Ohana breakfast as it is served family style and the food is good.

We also like Tusker House breakfast.

Best character interaction has always been Garden Grill at Epcot but the food in recent years leaves a bit to be desired :(

We just did several character breakfasts: Tusker House, 'Ohana, CRT, Akershus, CP and Park Fare and there were lots of adults with no children and they all looked like they were having a blast! :thumbsup2 I think the b'fasts that we enjoyed the most were TH,CP and PF. If you have any specific questions ask away! :goodvibes

Amen to that! :worship::worship:

We don't have children yet and we don't feel out of place at character meals. This trip we've booked a few (CP, CRT and Tusker House), not for breakfast though. It's your trip, you're never too old for anything so enjoy!

Garden Grill now only serves dinner.

I really enjoyed the food at garden grill. We went in January. X

My parents went to Disney for the first time 3 years ago when DH and I got married.
I convinced them to book a character breakfast as they weren't keen on queuing in the parks to meet characters. They went to Cape May Cafe for breakfast and absolutely loved it!! :)

They are going back out in a few weeks and have booked a couple character breakfasts and are really looking forward to it!

You def won't feel out of place, hope you enjoy!

I will be 51 in November and I'm going to Crystal Palace for my birthday breakfast and 1900 Park Fare the following Saturday. I had some of the same trepidations as you (especially because I'm going solo), but I thought, the heck with it, I'm going to have a good time!
Go and enjoy yourselves! :goodvibes

We went in April - it's not the worst food just no where as good as it was a couple of years ago. They used to have some really yummy catfish. It's also very expensive if you are paying cash now.

We loved the decor at Crystal Palace but I preferred the food at Tusker House. Having said that 'Ohana breakfast is on my list of must-dos next time :)
