Just a bit of background...31.2 inches of snow so far in December and it is snowing again!!! :scared1: MN should could use a break on all of the white fluffy stuff coming down! I would love to be at WDW and enjoying some warm weather... I have to wait til June though:sad1:

Sorry...just a little rant!

I totally agree! We had 18 inches on the ground before we went to WDW earlier this month, and now we have about 46 inches on the ground, and it's snowing again!:headache: You guys must be in a good spot, because down here south of the MN river, we have been hammered!

My wife's parents retired to Maine several years ago and going up there for Christmas a few years ago was the first time in my life I have ever seen a White Christmas; though I vowed to never do it again. Long story, but suffice it to say we went to bed on Christmas Eve with nothing on the ground and awoke to almost 2 FEET on the ground. Pretty but NOT fun. It was a great experience though, to actually see snow on Christmas.

For the first time in my life, I actually have a chance of seeing snow at home on Christmas tomorrow and now we have a DD5. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. I always dreamed of it coming on Christmas Eve but I'll take a dusting on Christmas day. It beats nothing.

We just got back from a week at Disney World a couple of weeks ago so we have our fix for the Holidays. This is icing on the cake for us.

We're praying for it to snow. Just a different perspective.

Merry Christmas everybody!

We are in MN, too, but loving the snow :) DD5 has had two snow days already; we'll be having to make up days in the summer if this keeps up!

Have fun in June...we have to wait until October! :sad2:

Stay warm!!

Sure hope December isn't indicative of the coming months :headache: Last year was horrible, and that was with a quiet December.

Syracuse had over 70 inches before we left on the 17th. I have no idea what they have now, but it's been snowing everyday since we left!

Its calmed down here but for those two weeks, it was relentless!!!! We went from a few inches to over 70 in just those two weeks. We set the record for the snowiest December on record.

The only great thing about it is all is that I teach so we got a snow day out of it and several days where school was delayed a few hours!! Made December go by so fast.

But, today I am wishing that I could do that quick trip to the world!!!

Merry Christmas to all of you! Enjoy your white christmas, play in the snow with your kids if you can't be at Disney!!!

We're expecting half a foot of snow tomorrow night into Monday night...I keep saying I'm gonna spend Christmas in WDW one of these years, it just never happens!

Here in Minneapolis/St. Paul we have set a new record for December snowfall and more is predicted next week. I am sick of snow and winter is only officially 4 days old. The banks are so high that even the snow thrower is having a hard time getting it to the top. I would be wishing for a trip to WDW except that our last 2 winter trips to WDW were cold. So I'll hunker down in front of the fire, enjoy an old-fashioned family Christmas (all 22 at our house today) and count the days until our March 10 Hawaii trip.
Happy holidays, DVCers, wherever you may be! :santa:

Hi Jean, well just keep warm thoughts of HHI in May!( So far I am on track to finally make it there!) :thumbsup2

We still have a week planned for HHI in May but now DH is saying he might rather do Flower and Garden. Our December trip was cold and I just wasn't in the right frame of mind after my mom's death, so I think he wants a re-do. We'll see how it all shakes out. I know he would love HHI if I could just get him to try it!
Marry Christmas!

We even had a coldish week in Mexico last winter.

I can barely find my mailbox - it peeks out from the snowbank.

Oh, and Minnesotans, the snow came so thick so early that the ice didn't properly freeze on the lakes. Be careful so you don't loose ATVs, snowmobiles or cars (it probably isn't a good idea to drive cars onto Twin Cities lakes this year) through the ice. My dad almost lost the ATV.

We're sympathizing with you guys down in the more southerly parts of MN. Most of the snow has gone your way instead of ours, (150 miles north of the Cities). But we're still ahead of average for this time of year...about 52 inches. Already wondering where we're going to put it all by the end of the season! But no worries, we leave for WDW in 12 days!!! Hoping it warms up a little down there, but we'll take it any way we can get it. On New Year's Day I'll be snowmobiling in a couple feet of snow and a week later I'll be sitting on Vero Beach and I love it that way!;)
