DSis, her Friend and I (all in our 20s) are heading to WDW in two weeks with 2-Day Hoppers for a short birthday visit. It will be Friend's first/probably only visit so we're trying to fit in what we like best while keeping things reasonable. FP+ has my head spinning on whether I've made the right decisions. This is one of those "could you look over my plans and tell me if they seem manageable?" threads. Please?
[Friday, June 20]
Arrive at MCO around 1:30pm, Pop Century around 3pm
confused3)
Game Plan A -- spend time at Pop, DTD or Boardwalk with local relatives (if available).
Game Plan B -- Add a day to tickets, go to HS around 4pm:
Star Tours, Characterpalooza (6:10), ToT or RR, Fantasmic! (10:30)
[Saturday, June 21]
HS EMH: Rope Drop (8am), TSMM, Star Tours?
EPCOT: Rope Drop (9am), Test Track*, Soarin' (FP 9:20), Chip & Dale M&G, Living Seas (FP 10:20), Mission: Space (FP 11:20), head to World Showcase, Maelstrom, birthday lunch somewhere, roam left side WS, Innoventions for Visa Cardmember photo?, roam right side WS, dinner, Journey Tribute Band (5:30 or 6:45), Spaceship Earth?
HS: Fantasmic! (If we didn't see it Friday.)
*If we miss Rope Drop, then we'll ride Test Track single rider before/after World Showcase.
[Sunday, June 22]
MK: Rope Drop/Welcome Show (8:40), Space Mountain, 7DMT (FP 9:15), Big Thunder Mtn (FP closer to 11:15), Splash Mtn (FP 11:15), lunch....
Plan A - AK: FotLK, EE, walk a trail?; rest/shower/pool at Pop Century, back for nighttime entertainment.
Plan B - stay near MK: Pirates, Tiki Room (nap time), FoF parade, go on rides/take our time, monorail resort for dinner?, Haunted Mansion near dusk, nighttime entertainment.
MK night: Wishes (10), Celebrate the Magic (10:35), MSEP (11), ride/M&G whatever we missed through 3am EMH, especially Mickey.
[Monday, June 23]
Head home.
Is there any truth in the idea Mickey is more "talkative" if you FP+ to meet him?
Most crowd calendars say 9/10 for Sunday. What are the chances we won't be able to get back in due to the park being super crowded?
All in all, this is more about enjoying the Disney atmosphere. Any other M&Gs or rides would be perks. We would try to hit cooler/indoor attractions during the hottest times of day and plan on lots of water. Thanks for any insight!
