Hi!! We are currently looking at buying in to DVC (in fact contracts are on their way!!
), and if it happens, I will need to cancel my accomodation I have already booked for next year through Disney UK.
One booking is for the Beach Club, and if I cancel altogether I will lose the £200 deposit. I am not going to do anything until the 7 month window, as if I can't get Beach Club villas through DVC, then I want to still stay at Beach Club with this booking.
But, should I be lucky enough to get BCV, I am thinking (and after a long winded build up
- this is where I need your opinion!!
) of keeping the first nights Disney UK booking at the BC and then transferring to the BCV for the next 2 nights. A night in BC costs £218, so in effect my deposit will almost cover it (plus I hate giving money away!!
).
It would be our very first night and I had already planned to pack an overnight bag with our toiletries/next days clothes/swim stuff to carry on the ME bus, so that it doesn't matter when our luggage arrives. We are also having a lazy first day (Lunch at Beaches then either the BC pool if weather is good, or strolling over to Epcot for a while if not), so I am hoping that the room changes will really be hassle free??? (I am hoping Bell Services will just keep our luggage from the ME until we trf to BCV on the second night??
)
Does this seem like a straightforward plan, or too much hassle to save the £200??
thanks for any advice!!
