Is anyone else having trouble trying to decide where they want to make their ADR's for?
I am getting close to my 180 day mark and I need to decide where I want to eat. I thought I had pretty much decided where I want to eat and I would be doing 2 TS some days to eat at all the restaurants I want to eat at-doing a lunch and a late dinner(I don't really eat much for breakfast because I prefer to do rides on a empty stomach) So I thought I had my list decided but now I found out Concourse SH will still be open in 12/07 when I am there.I really enjoyed my last meal there and need to make sure I go there again before they close. I also am hearing Raglan Road calling my name, the reviews of this restaurant are so good that I need to make sure I get to eat there also .I am staying 9 nights and I really want to eat at:
Jiko
Boma
Le Cellier
Kona Cafe
California Grill
Citricos
GardenView Cafe
Artist Point
Wolfgang Puck's Cafe
Brown Derby (Fantasmic Package)
Narcoose's
Concourse SH
Raglan Road
I know I have really expensive taste and will be paying OOP for a few meals but I really enjoy good food. I can't decide what to eliminate so I may double book a number of days. I am staying offsite 5 nights so I may do Cirque Du Soleil and Raglan Road to get that restaurant out of the way before I stay onsite. So is anyone else having trouble deciding where they want to eat or am I just crazy and need therapy ?:rotfl:

I've been planning my ADR's since I got back last year for next year, so NO, at least I don't think you're crazy. Unless we both are.

Thanks for the great response. I am worried that we are the only 2 though. We may both be crazy!!!!!! Atleast I am not alone.:rotfl:

Absolutely you'r not alone! I can't make up my mind & I am driving myself  At first my TA was making our ADRs, but no more . I keep changing my mind too much.

I spend hours, and I do mean HOURS, on line looking at the different reasturants, reading my passporter and unofficial guide reviews and this just makes things worse.

I write every ADR in pencil in my passporter and my eraser is almost gone. I guess when my eraser runs out I will keep the last ones written in.

We tried Boma on our last trip.

I thought it was ok. Nothing special and not worth a long trip to AKL if you are not staying there.:hourglass

Put it to you this way, we are staying at AKL in 2 weeks because DD14 picked it and I did not schedule Boma, I would have tried Jiko but we are doing Cali Grill on this trip.

I am so glad I am not crazy. Maybe a little obsessive ,okay alot obsessive. I travel alone so I don't need to worry about where anyone else wants to eat.:yay: I keep changing my mind also,I need to get a pencil with a really big eraser. I keep writing everything in ink and just keep crossing it off when I change my mind. I am not to my 180 day mark yet so I don't have any ADR'S yet but I am a few weeks away and I hope I am more organized and sure about my choices by then. I know soon after I make my ADR'S the Candlelight Processional Packages/speakers will be announced and I am sure I will need to make some changes. I really love the Candlelight Processional Packages and I usually go at least once or twice when I am there in December.
Thanks for sharing!!!!!:)

I agree. Going by the OP's list, she seems to have similar taste to my family. Boma is definitely one I'd scratch from the list. We honestly don't care much for buffets, but I wouldn't say the food was bad. I was more disappointed with how Americanized it was. It may not be what you're expecting.

LOL, you are so not crazy. I posted doing the same thing last week. Choosing the restaurants is half the fun. (For those that like planning that far in advance, that is. ;) )

Thanks for the great responses!!!!! I actually have been to Boma and did enjoy it. I am also staying at AKL for 3 nights which does make it a good choice for a late night dinner. I don't have a really big appetite this would be the only buffet I would do( I really do enjoy my leftovers from TS restaurants )but I did enjoy the variety of different things at Boma. If I wasn't staying at AKL I would't make a special trip to eat there but it is to convenient to pass up for a late night meal.
Thanks again for the great responses!!!:)

That makes sense. Enjoy your stay at AKL, & your meals at Jiko & Boma. :)

Last November/December our favorites were California Grill (my husband had me make a second reservation for the night before we left!), Narcoossee's (had dinner a second time there, too), and Jiko. The Brown Derby and Le Cellier were disappointments (but Fulton's Crab House was the worst!). Does the Garden View Cafe serve anything other than tea (we loved the tea!)?

I will join the crazy club! We just got back last month and I already have a list of about 15 restaurants for next April! Some are repeats and some are new! I will also be paying oop for some character breakfast! We just loved the character meals on our last trip. We tried to get into more while we were there and could not get an adr, so this time I am booking several! Where else can you go and have a meal with characters? My dh thinks that I have lost it! He just can't believe that I already have "the list!" I really would like to do 2 ts a day too, but that would be too much oop if we did it everyday. I can't wait! Have a magical trip! And don't forget to report back on the food!:)

I had a hard time choosing myself! I ended up with~

Chef Mickey's
'Ohana
Le Cellier
Liberty Tree Tavern
Garden Grille
Mama Melrose
Crystal Palace
PT 50's
Donald's Breakfast (AK)

The ones I left out were~
WCC, Planet Hollywood, and 1900 Park Fare. I may end up on our departure day seeing if we can walk in to WCC or PH for lunch before hitting the road. IF not, I am sure the local Fridays or Cracker Barrell will gladly accommodate us:goodvibes

I'm having a hard time choosing too. We love character meals so we're doing 6 or 7 of them at this point but would like to try new regular places too. Yet I'm not about to make 3 ADRs a day!
To make matters worse we'll be staying at 3 different resorts this trip so it just makes planning more complicated.

Oh boy. I just realized our last morning is free, we COULD go to Boma for breakfast if I could get us a 7.30 ADR. :coffee:

I love planning the dining for my trips! Yes I get crazy but it's fun crazy. I look at menu's, make list, check the days I want to be where, make new lists, pull my hair, find out the my daughter wants to go to this restaurant, add it to the list, call Disney and then move things around 1 more time.

PS: we love Boma.

Thank you so much for the great responses!!!!!!!! I am so glad I am not alone in my Obsessive Disney Dining planning. I keep wanting to add to my list of restaurants but unfortunately there isn't any I want to give up. I think I will be doing 2 TS most days to try all the restaurants I want to try.Somehow I will need to fit in some time at the parks.:rotfl: I am nearing my 180 day mark so I need to make my final restaurant choices but I know I will probably need to make some changes when the park hours come out for 12/07 and when the Candlelight Package Packages.
Planning really is half the fun!!!!!!!!!
Thanks again!!!! :)
