Our current plan is to drive down one day, do four days of Disney parks, take a hotel pool day as we switch hotels, the do one day at Sea World and two days of US/IOA. My kids will be 6.5, almost 4 and almost 1. Does this sound like too much or the right amount? Last time we only did 5 days worth of parks and the kids were 3.5 and 9 months. Five was really all we could handle that time but the eldest child was more challenging at 3 than the current 3 year old.

I hope you have nap times built into every day, though. How hot will it be when you are there? I hope you are all pretty fit! If your kids have tons of energy, then it should be ok, as long as one adult is willing to go back and let the tired ones rest if need be. Just keep hydrated and well fed. Have fun!

We're going in Jan/Feb so heat shouldn't be an issue. We will not be going back for naps based on our past experience. The nearly 4 year old stopped naps before she turned 2. The baby will be napping either in the sling or in the stroller. (We're taking a stroller that can recline so baby and the nearly 4 year old can take turns in it. Both the baby and nearly 4 year old can be carried by the sling as well).

We learned the last two trips that a nap back at the room simply didn't work. My oldest was 3 and 3.5 for the last two trips. (The baby napped in the sling and stroller. If we went back to the room, he wouldn't sleep. Even resting was tough since he's a rather active child). So instead, we got there when the parks opened and figured out our leave time as needed.

My husband and I are both very fit. I'm guessing the kids are average but we plan on getting especially the oldest to go on walks with us in the month before to get him in shape. We only ever use a stroller when I go on jogs so the kids are used to walking everywhere since a young age.

I think it sounds perfect. when you are there the hours aren't very long so you will have relatively early evenings so a lot of built in down time.

We never did the return for nap time either, first my kids never really napped even at home, and second it is exhausting to walk all the way out of the park and all the way to the bus then all the way to the room just to repeat ALL THAT WALKING to get back to the park! There is a lot of walking at Disney BUT there is also a lot of SITTING at Disney during the day!

Have fun!
