OK, I am thinking about where we want to eat whilst we are at DLP.

I can't quite decide what to do! Do most of you eat in the evening and grab a snack during the day or do you have lunches somewhere too?

We arrive Monday afternoon and leave Friday late afternoon so thought the following:

Monday: Wild West Show 6.30pm
Tues eve: Rainforest Cafe
Weds eve: Cafe Mickey
Thurs eve: Annettes Diner
Fri Lunch time: Lucky nugget or plaza gardens

The only thing is I wanted to go to Walts and Auberge de cendrillon too but don't know if I really want 2 sit down meals in one day!!

Any recommendations/advice from seasoned travellers would be great??

Also what sort of time would you recommend eating in the evening so I don't miss any parades/shows and also don't get the crowds?? (we're going in May)

Hi,

We've done both - but as there isn't that much to do once the parks are closed, I prefer to have my main meal as table service in the evening.

If you want to see Candleabration (well worth seeing IMO) and then eat, your best bet is to book in advance, as the Village restaurants will be as busy as they are going to get just after the main park closes in the evening. So maybe that would be best planned for your Wild West show evening, and also Cafe Mickey? As you can't book in advance for Annettes or the Rainforest Cafe.

I think Plaza Gardens' times were 3pm and 5pm so not really a lunchtime place. We did both that and Lucky Nugget and much preferred the Lucky Nugget - although it's more expensive you do get value for money I think.
We ate in Annette's twice at about 6 and 6.30 and it was very busy both times although we didn't have a very long wait. This was February though. Since it can't be booked you would be chancing it to go too much later.
We ate at Cafe Mickey at lunchtime so I don't know what it would be like in the evening.
The food at Auberge was fabulous, but I think the decision on whether to take a longer time out of the park is a personal one. We have 2 small children and a real Princess-lover so for us it was both necessary to have a long rest and also just as good as a ride for DD. Better in fact, since she didn't like most of the rides!

Thanks.:)

Do you know what time the Candelabration would be on for May? Also what time will the parks close?

We've always been at very busy times when the park is open late (usually til 10.00 ish) so on some days we've enjoyed a main meal at lunch time. By doing this it gave us chance to escape the crowds for an hour or so and recharge our batteries. It also meant we werent fighting with the crowds in the evening for a meal.
On days we did this we grabbed something quick later in the evening rather than have 2 sit down meals- baguette or croque from Market House Deli, Hotdog from Caseys or even sandwich from train station.

The next time we go (in March) the park closes at 8.00 so we may eat more in the evening but still want to do Walts and probably try Lucky Nugget as well which will be lunchtime.
