Here is the plan so far. We're staying at POR.

Monday - Epcott

Tuesday - MK - Crystal Palace late lunch

Wed - Animal Kindom

Thursdsay -MK late lunch at CRT (I figured we have to do it once and may as well do it when the girls are sooo into princesses!) - we booked last week and it was the only time available so I'm designing my park visits accordingly

QUESTION: I thought of doing another character meal with princesse at Epcott or the Tucker House (I think it's at AK?). But do you think it's just too much? The girls will be seeing the characterse all throughout the park... J

THanks!

There's no such thing as too many character meals. Last trip we ate at Chef Mickey's, Playhouse Disney @ Hollywood and Vine, Crystal Palace and had brealfast ADR's for Tusker House (but we canc because we were too tired from MVMCP the night before)

Go for it - the more you see while you're eating, the less lines you have to get in at the parks!

You sound like you have a decent amount but I too can never see too many characters. We did Thursday - Sunday last week and had:

1900 Park Fare - dinner Thursday (great way to start the trip!)
Rose & Crown - dinner Friday (saw Illuminations) though no characters at RC
Princess Storybook Lunch at Norway - Saturday
Pirates & Princesses party - Saturday night
Chef Mickeys breakfast (10:40 am) - Sunday before the long drive home!

The ONLY princess we didn't see was Pocohantas. Not sure how we missed her but we did -- I wish we had done Playhouse Disney at Hollywood and Vine somewhere in there but we didn't have time!

too many. We had a trip a couple of years ago with only three days in the park. We had three character meals then.

One thing about the characters in the parks is that the lines can be long and sometimes working your schedule around the meet and greet times can be frustrating. Toon Town can be rowded but if you are there at opening (10:00?) the lines can be tolerable and you can see princesses and other characters like Daisy and Minnie pretty easily.

I don't think it is too much either- as long as you are incorporating them into your plans and not working around them. For example- on the day you are going to EPCOT, princess bfast might be a great way to kick off the day. Or if you really want to see the classic friends - Tusker house might work out well. One thing I just wanted to add- was this time we had lunch early at Tusker house on our AK day and it was a great break in the middle of the day and one of the best meals we ate the entire triop

From your signature line, it looks like this is your first trip to Disney.

If it is your first trip, and if you only have four days in the park you will be trying to fit LOTS in.

If you are doing commando park days, open to close, then I think that Four character lunches in the middle of the day will be PERFECT for you! They will be a nice break in the middle of your day.

If you are doing breaks - morning park, afternoon rest at the resort, evening park. I think you may feel that you're spending more time eating than touring the parks. That's fine, but it may not be the experience that you're hoping for at Disney. Breaks can take a huge chunk out of your day - especially if you're using Disney transportation. Add to that a 1 - 1.5 hour character dining experience and a huge chunk of your day is spent resting or eating.

I don't want to advocate breaking vs not breaking, but I want you to know what to expect going into it.

If this is your first trip and you want to fit a lot in, I'd suggest not doing character breakfasts unless you can get a seating for before park opening. the parks get more crowded as the day goes on and you'll probably want to take advantage of spending the mornings touring.

Believe me, getting photos and autographs from the characters while sitting down and eating a meal is MUCH better than standing in a long line in the heat to do so. If your girls are anything like my DD, they will after all the pics and autographs they can get!! :yay:

The only suggestion I have is to try not to have too much overlap of characters (if you go to Chef Mickey's and see Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Donald, and Pluto, you might not need to do Tusker House, where you'll see Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Daisy.)

We will be there for 5 days, and I have ADR's for Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, Hollywood & Vine, and Safari Donald. Most of mine are breakfast reservations b/c I know that my kids are early risers and are usually happy in the mornings.

I was scared to make too many lunch or dinner ADR's b/c they might be cranky.

Dd and I are going for 5 days this summer. We are doing:

Chef Mickey's - dinner
1900 Park Fare - dinner
Donald's Safari Breakfast @ Tusker House
Hollywood Brown Derby - dinner
Cinderella's Royal Table - breakfast
Tony's Town Square - dinner
Akershus - lunch

So no...I don't think you have too many! :thumbsup2

The only way for our family to see the characters is to do character meals. Dh will not stand in any line for a character unless it is short. I love character meals. I mean you have to eat anyway. We did mostly breakfast and lunch. We liked the break midday. And this way if anyone got tired and cranky later we didnt have to worry about an ADR. We did counter service for dinner.

Just think of it this way. The characters that you can knock off in the resturants, you don't have to wait in line to see in the parks!!! Not to many IMO!!!

There's no such thing as too many character meals in our family.:cool1: We usually stay 7 days and eat at CHef Mickey breakfast AND dinner, GArden Grill, Crystal Palace and rotate between Donald's and LTT.
