Too many bags for a Towncar?

I am thinking of booking a Towncar for the ride to WDW from the airport. But I am worried that there will not be enough space for all the luggage my fiance and I are bringing.

We are starting our honeymoon with a 7 day cruise and then 7 days at WDW. This means we have to pack a lot of stuff. We will have a least 2 large suite cases, 1 garment bag and a couple of hand carries.

Does anyone know if all these bags and maybe more will fit in a Towncar?

I would be more worried about it fitting in your cruise cabin. I think the town car can take it. Be sure to check your airline site on suitcase size! I would hate for your honeymoon to start with a charge for excessive luggage. (Perosnally, I would try to cut some stuff back, I would not want to lug that much around!)

I wouldn't worry about the car ride either, because something can always go in the front passenger seat. But I'd suggest 3 smaller suitcases to make sure they fit under your bed on the cruise.

We packed cruise only stuff in its own suitcase, so we didn't have to mess with it while at WDW.

The normal size limit for suitcases is 60 inches, calculated by adding the height + depth + width. It's not hard to exceed it. And the per bag weight limit is usually 50 pounds. That isn't very much, really.

You should be fine. Just as an FYI, three of us went on a seven day cruise and seven days at WDW, and we each had a large suitcase, plus a garment bag and a tote bag each, and would have fit no problem. The driver can always put one bag up front with him.

Also, I'd plan on doing laundry one day. I did laundry twice during that time, and was glad I did. It only took an hour or so each time.

Last May we used a towncar for our trip - 2 adults and our 9 yr old son. We had 4 large suitcases (but not huge - 26" pullmans I think is what they were called) 1 tote bag with toiletries and 3 carryons - 1 suitcase and the carryons had to go in the front seat with the driver.

Thanks everybody....
I didn't even consider how the bags would fit in our cabin. It will be our first cruise.

Ducklite......good idea about the laundry day. I plan on having a no park day and just hanging out by the pool. We are staying at the Dolphin and I really want to try out the pool slide.:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:
I guess I can do some laundry on the same day.

This helps me with my question about a TownCar for 4 adults. I was concerned about us all fitting in the car cumfortably, but I forgot about our luggage! Looks like we'll order a van or a lomo. (We will each have one large suitcase and a carry-one.)

I have done the town car several times with 4 adults (each with our own large suitcase and carry-on). It's a tight fit, but can be done. Our suitcases all fit in the trunk, but at least one of us ends up holding a carry-on on our lap. It just depends on whether you want to pay more for a van or limo and be comfortable or save money and squeeze into the town car. It's actually not that bad and we are not small people, but I wouldn't want to take a long trip that way.
