Too late to make August Reservations?

I just decided to suprise my DH and make reservations for his 50th birthday, Aug 22. (just a 4 day trip). I would really like VWL, but I guess I would be happy with just about any place if I can get in. Has anyone recently made reservations for that time? If so, what was available? I guess I will know for sure tomorrow a.m. when I call, but I'm just to excited to wait! Thank you.

I've booked with 3 months ahead for August before and not had a problem. The good news for you is with no worry about 7month or 11 month window you hopefully have the chance of four resorts

Just last Thursday May 9 I got a studio at BWV standard view for August (I think sunday the 18th).. I was pretty suprised. Iwould give it a try you never know..

Hi PalVal,

Last year I was able to get the VWL in August with only 2 weeks notice. I have an August use year and had to wait until August 1st to make the reservation using borrowed points.

WE have not had any trouble adding extra days at the last minute that time of year. I would certainly give it a try.

I would definetly trust the waiting list if you have to....maybe get what you can get, then put what you want on the waiting list...it is better then even money it will come through.....last year my wife and I booked a studio for two nights at okw and boardwalk the day before....we where driving and made much better time then we thought, so we decided to see if there was anything, and surprise, they where available.

Thank you all for your encouraging words. I called this a.m. and got what I wanted! Now if I can just keep the secret birthday surprise quiet! I have a hard time when I know I'm going to Disney!
