Too Late For Summer Discounts?

Just realized today that the Autism Society National Conference is in Orlando this year from July 6-10 at the Gaylord Palms. Of course I would rather stay in a Disney resort but I just missed the 30% off code deadline. Any chance that there will be anymore discounts or is it most likely too late?

Right now the discounts coming out are for the middle of August into all of September (room discount) and the Free Dining package deal for the end of August to the end of September. I don't foresee any other discounts coming out for the general public for the summer.

That is what I was afraid of....the conference rate at Gaylord Palms is $169 +tax so I could probably get a value resort at rack rate for slightly less. If I decide to go. I have never been in the summer before and the July heat scares me.

We have been going in July the last few years and the heat is bad. But we just go back to CBR and the pool in the afternoon to rest and get ready to go back to the park at night. I like vacationing at Disney in July.

Not 100% sure, but I think AAA is only discounted when you do a "room only" reservation. I think it might be 15%? you'd have to ask someone who is more versed in AAA stuff to weigh in.

We did book a package through AAA and it was at a discount (maybe 20%) but then Disney came out with a code that beat it. So I know they discount packages but am hoping that they will also discount room only reservations. AAA agents are off on the weekends so I can't get a quote today but just wondered if a discount is possible for July reservations. Anything is better than nothing!

If you looking for a room only res, any TA can get the AAA if there's one available. AAA packages are exclusive to AAA agencies, but the room only discount is not.

Keep in mind only a limited number of rooms at any given resort might be available for AAA room discounts, so early July might have slim pickings. Worth checking into though.

Did you try calling Disney to see if you have a PIN CODE to your name?
We never received an email saying we had a PIN but when we suddenly realized we could go this summer (which was about 2 weeks ago) we called and TA-DA! Room discount PIN!

discounts can be had by calling Disney Reservations. They can't be booked online - at least the time I tried. The discount varies. The one time we did a mod in the summer the discount was 10%. The number of rooms are limited. With no mod or value discounts for the summer, selection may be limited.
