Too Funny! Conan O'Brien's Take on Disney Cutbacks

hmmph.

I don't see the humor in making fun of the "handicapped accessible ramp"... what is up with that? :confused3

That part was not really even all that funny. And has nothing to do with the economy? :confused3

Well that sucks!
I clicked on the link and it said currently this can only be viewed from the United States at this time.

Tell me about it, we can't view any hulu clips. Damn CRTC!

Another Canuck shut out!! Too bad, I love Conan...never get to watch 'cause he's on too late. I am of his vintage and he so reminds me of a guy I went to university with.

Yeah Hulu is only in the US. John and I were up talking on the computer one night before PC 1.0, and somehow we started talking about TV shows from the 70's. I told him to check out Hulu so he could watch Adam 12. Well, since you guys are in Canada he could not watch the shows. My bad, I should have checked before I told him to go to that site.

People, they weren't making fun of the handicapped folks. They were also not making fun of the ramps.

It was no more a slight against the handicapped than it was against clothes dryers.

It was a joke. The joke was that people have to make-do with regular, everyday stuff because there are no real rides. When used the wrong way, these everyday things could actually harm you instead of provide fun.

It wasn't that funny, but it wasn't mean spirited (unless you count the jab at Disney.)

I have personally witnessed several old men having wheelchair races on ramps. Not ramps intended for wheelchairs. Just steep inclines. I told them they were going to kill themselves, but do they listen to me? (No.)

I figure if you're old and you want to race down and raise some hell in your wheelchair, you've earned it. But, geez louise. It's a frightening thing to watch.

It is fun, and cheaper than most theme park technology! :thumbsup2 That is where the joke came from. I found it very humorous, because the queues are part the fun in some attractions.:)
