We were in the market for a simple toaster (we have a big honking toaster oven and it takes 10 minutes to make a slice of toast!). Anyway, dh had picked up a $12 job today, we were checking out "XSCargo" (weird little place), and I saw a Winnie the Pooh toaster for $20. When I saw the bee-shaped lever I thought "aww". Then I noticed it toasts in the image of Pooh on one slice and Tigger on the other. "We're getting the Winnie the Pooh toaster". (Dh groans, but humours me. Good man.) When it popped for the first time and played the first bar or so of the Winnie the Pooh theme song, we all cracked up. ("Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh, silly old, silly old bear...") pooh: :tigger:

They also had a Mickey Mouse snow-cone maker and smoothie maker I think...but the toaster made us all smile.

I have the Mickey toaster - makes me smile every time it pops up!!

...So I was wondering, does it have a tune? I was guessing it'd be the old MM Club theme...

There is also a Cinderella one out there. (With the Glass slipper I think? I didn't buy it) It probably plays "Someday my prince will come"? I have no idea! My girls would probably like it though! We picked up the Mickey Mouse waffle maker for $10 at Liquidation World when they had them....no fancy music though!:)

I just got that Mickey toaster at Ocean state job lots! It was $20 and plays the Mickey Mouse march!:goodvibes

We have this exact same toaster for DS, and he will run from where ever he is in the house once it plays the MM march. It's a second toaster (meaning we have a standard one too!). Here's why...

I will say both the MM and WTP toasters are not "perfect" by any stretch of the imagination, and I would not pay more than $10 for it. It gets really HOT if you use it several times in a row. Also, the music will eventually get erratic or stop working. It also tends to burn toast on low settings, if it's been used more than once or twice in a row. Villaware is aware of the problem, thus the reason you see them at Liquidation Worlds, Warehouse/Refurb sales.

Otherwise, a cute little toaster to hold him over until trips to WDW :thumbsup2

Mmm, I would agree, it's not perfect--I have noticed ours "buzzes" when not in use. Kind of like it's vibrating slightly and those wires are making the noise. I've taken to unplugging it b/c it makes me nervous--but we still love it!

Darn, I forgot to buy some of those frozen pancakes to see how it works on those! Dd was disappointed once I'd buttered her toast this morning Winnie's face was kind of smudged. She's so cute I'd do anything to see her smile. :)

We have the Mickey one...Love the tune...makes my nieces want to have toast a lot when they visit.:thumbsup2
