We are headed to the Bahamas in January and booked the Nassau excursion that includes snorkeling. I have read that the temperature of the water is hit and miss this time of year. If the water is too cold, do they offer wetsuits for rental or inclusion of the excursion?
the water temps are actually fairly predictable ... the ocean does not change temps quickly! What IS variable are the air temps and what YOU think is cold. Folks from up north are often seen ocean swimming in winter months where I live (close to Cape Canaveral) since the lake water they swim in mid summer NEVER gets as warm as the ocean here in winter. We locals think they are NUTS!
As to wetsuit availability ..... if the Nassau tour is operated by Stuarts Cove - the big dog in dive and snorkel trips in Nassau - there will be wet suits available for rent PROBABLY (they have them at the shop ... if your tour goes to the shop, they are available). But if your snorkel tour is from another operation - and there are MANY - I would not hold my breath on availability.
The only place I've seen where wetsuits are included is Discovery Cove ... and there they are required (as I recall) as they serve as flotation device (you can have a suit, or just a vest)
Here's dd on a dive boat in March in the Cayman Islands. Water temp 80 and air temp close to that .... and wearing a shorty wetsuit. Looks cold huh? We're from Florida!
she was sitting on the deck to get out of the wind ... teeth chattering

We were on CC on a decent February day, and by noon the water felt downright warm! We were there on a HOT October day, and the water felt like it was about to turn to ice. It's all VERY relative.
