The People Mover used to be one of my favorite rides.

Slow and relaxing and a peak inside Space Mtn.

Disney then replaced it with what I recall was the Rocket Rods. All I remember is they had a lot of technical difficulties with it.

With Disneyland's 50th coming up next year it would be great if The People Mover was resurrected.

Does anyone agree?

The last time I was on the People Mover (before they took it out) it broke down while we were on it. We were *almost* out of Space Mountain. After waiting a while it became obvious that the ride was not going to start up again, and we were told to remain seated while a CM came to escort us out.

At that point 2 interesting things happened:
1) The lights went on. We were very briefly able to see the track of Space Mountain, and then WHAM the metal shutters/doors over the windows slammed shut so we couldn't see any more.

2) What we could see though was the immense amount of GARBAGE that people had thrown onto the track. The thing that got to me most was the obviously used dirty diaper. Yech!

So no, I wouldn't be awfully thrilled with the People Mover coming back. Not after seeing that the track really looked like.

I have missed the People Mover for many years. I thought it was a great ride. But according the the "powers that be" on this and other boards, they are not coming back

If you have a hankering for the PM, they have it at the Magic Kingdom in WDW, although they are calling it something else now. ;)

I swear that half the reason I go to WDW is to ride the PM!!
;)
