Has anyone eaten at Tony's Town Square? Thinking of booking an ADR, but have never eaten there before. I Have looked around and haven't been able to find any solid thread on it (maybe i'm just missing it).

Any comments on the food or atmosphere?

Thanks in advance! :)

Most people I feel say they don't like it. I personally love it. The only problem is that usually they are behind, so expect a 6:00 PM reservation to actually be like 6:15-6:20. In my opinion it is is worth it. Sometimes however they are on time.

answer to first question is yes. answer to second question is didn't like anything about it.

I see a lot of post from people who didn't like it, but we did. It did seem like a long wait to be seated though.

We have eaten there twice. Once in 2007 and it was just Meh.... Decided to try it again when there in Sept (2014) and it still wasn't very good. I would say similar to Olive Garden (maybe worse depending on what you get). It was cute and all but food just wasn't great....

Most people will probably say they don't like it, but we like it. In fact my kids always ask that we go there every trip. They like the Lady and the Tramp theming, and we have never had a problem with the food. I love the pistachio creme brûlée on the dessert menu!

It's actually one of my favorites. The food is nothing fancy but we all enjoy it. And it's fast! Even when the lobby is packed, it's usually only a 10 minute wait once you check in, and the food comes very quickly as well. We are usually done and leaving less than an hour after our ADR. Which might not appeal to some, but when we are giving up valuable park time to eat, I like a little speed :)

Darn. Wrote a reply but it didn't post. Anyway, we don't care for Tony's. Food quality is better to much better at all of the other Italian restaurants on property.

We are going to try Tony's for the first time this summer. Most reviews we've read are not the greatest, but we are going to try it for ourselves. We are generally happy with Disney meals, like Italian food and are interested in trying a few new places. We like that Tony's is in the Magic Kingdom so it won't take up any travel time to get to this ADR while we are in the MK. I say go for it and decide for yourself. Great location:)

We ate there in October and really liked the food. Service was good. We waited for our ADR about 10 minutes.

I am going there next month. One thing I have learned from these boards is that you will find likes and dislikes and I need to form my own opinion by trying it.

My family and I all really like Tony's, BUT we are easy going simple folk lol. I'd agree that it is comparable to Olive Garden, but we are OK with Olive Garden too. Lady and the Tramp also happens to be my 2nd favorite Disney movie, so I adore the theme :)

We had been trying to eat here for quite some time (always ended up canceling since we tend to go in the summer and couldn't think about heavy Italian food)... well we finally tried it when we went for MNSSHP one year and really enjoyed our meals. Nothing to complain about. Food was yummy, service was great.

Tony's is the worst restaurant at which I've eaten on property. I love Italian food, but the chicken parm at Tony's was the most bland, tasteless version I've ever eaten. Nobody in my family of 6 enjoyed their meal either. The service was terrible as well. It ruined my 40th birthday lunch.

The only thing going for it is the atmosphere. If you get a table near the window, you can people watch on Main Street. Inside has the nice Lady & Tramp fountain.

Our Ratings of Tony's Town Square: (*rev 10/07/2014*)
. . . food price value: C
. . . food quality: D
. . . food quantity per serving: C
. . . food prep speed: B
. . . food selection: C
. . . seating quantity: C
. . . seating comfort: C
. . . eatery atmosphere: B
. . . eatery convenience: A
. . . staff friendliness: B
. . . staff attentiveness: C
. . . character interaction: n/a

Our Recommendations:
. . . appys:... Seasonal Melon w/Prosciutto
. . . entree:.. Fresh Catch Salad
. . . dessert:. Pistachio Crème Brûlée

NOTE: The staff friendliness and the eatery atmosphere are good, but misleading, as the
food is not something to write home about. Meats are average for the Italian entrées, but
akin to CHEF BOY AR DEE - well, using CHEF BOY AR DEE could be considered an insult to the
famous chef from Cleveland, Ohio. The sauce may be tomato, but it is definitely not a true
marinara. The appetizers are average. In a pinch, Tony's might do, but there are far better
choices. On the plus side, the desserts are simple, but pretty good. Hard to justify going
the first time, let alone going back.

NOTE2: If available, one can ask for a outdoor patio table. However, it is not a good place
to view parades, even though one might think so.

For sure, it's not gourmet Italian. It's very much like pasta that was boiled and middle-shelf jarred pasta sauce that you serve on a night that you need to cook dinner in 15 minutes. If you don't mind paying $20 for that type of spaghetti, getting seated late, and for kind-of attentive service, you'll be fine. Like all things Disney, you're paying for the atmosphere of the restaurant and the convenience of the location. Keep your expectations in check that price does not equal quality in this case.

On the upside, it was one of our cheaper meals: There's no wine to have with your meal, so for us and our three children, I believe we got out of there with an under-$75 bill (TIW users) since we didn't have dessert or appetizers.

I seriously could have written this. I also had the chicken parm, it was the worst meal ive ever had. My son had the spagetti & meatballs, which i had a taste of, and its definitely the worst meatball we've both ever had. Service wasnt great either. And the atmosphere, I didnt like it. Not very inviting. My son refuses to go back. He said thats the only restaurant he refuses to go to (thank god!), cause I agree.

If you want italian, pick any of the other italian restaurants on property. Via Napoli is my fave....& Tutto is awesome too.

Thanks for the replies, everyone! The ADR would be for a birthday dinner, so we'd want the experience to be enjoyable for sure. Not sure yet, but after seeing the posts we might skip it and try Crystal Palace instead.

Ive tried every meal at CP and I really liked it. The food is always good. Characters are beyond adorable. :) Enjoy!

We're in the group that likes Tony's. My husband really likes their spaghetti - it is bland but that's what he likes!
