Tony's Town Square Character Breakfast??

I'm I the only one who was fully unaware that Tony's has a character breakfast?? Apparently it features Tony and Mickey Mouse, and offers reserved seating at Philharmagic early in the morning. If anyone has been to this, what did you think? How was the food there for breakfast? I am most curious how I've missed this for however long it has existed.

Me either, but I just got an e-mail about it a couple hours ago. I'll call DINE tomorrow to ask more, but I am very interested in this possible "hidden" breakfast.

I read something about this quite a few months ago on the DIS, but I thought it is only some kind of Grand Gathering perk.

I am curious to find out what the for sure real deal is though......

Our Grand Gathering is scheduled for this breakfast on Dec 23. We've heard that the character interaction is great as well as the food. This is the first time that we had a group of eight going to WDW together!!

What? Tony is a meetable character? First I ever heard of this! The Disney World website doesn't mention which characters, just mentions Mickey. IF Tony was there, I have to find a way to sneak in there to meet him! (Just kidding!) Actually I am part of a Grand Gathering in November, but the others aren't big planners (they are on the dining plan and aren't even spending any time at all to research and book restaurants!!) so I would probably have a hard time convincing them!

As far as I know there is a breakfast at Tony's but it is limited to those parties of 8 or more participating in a GRAND GATHERING! : )
