Still need to finalize my dining table service. Never tried this restaurant---any opinions? Just grownups this year, no grandkids. So far we have Mama Melrose, Tusker House, Rose & Crown, and Royal Table all for dinners on DDP. What do you think?

Not my favorite. Nothing really special. I viewed it as over-priced Italian.

My feel is, is if I am paying that much for food at Disney, I'd like it to be a little different.

That being said, when we did eat there, the food was well prepared and came out warm. DH and I felt the portion sizes were on the smaller side for the price we paid.

This was more than a year ago, so not a real recent thing.

:) Well I have done Mama's, Rose and Crown and CRT--both were nice. My pictue with Cindy turned out very nice and the service there was great. I remember the food being good at Mama's but we have only eaten there once many years ago. I did not like R&C at all. Of course I ordered fish and chips. It was like a Mrs. Paul's fish dinner IMO. However, the people next to us were from the UK and their 6 year old ate every morsel on his plate. They said it tasted just like home. I would only eat there again if I had great seats outside for Illuminations. This year like you we are eating at Tusker House for the first time. I would like to see other's opinions, too.;)

My 13 yr old DD and 60 yr old mom both loved Tony's. I had a very good steak. We were on the old disney dining plan in June 07 and were happy with our choice to go to Tony's.

My boyfriend and I went to Tony's for his bday and we enjoyed it. I'm not a big Lady and the Tramp fan but all the photos from the movie are really cool. They brought out bread and marinara sauce that was pretty darn good. When someone has a bday they announce it and everyone gets to twirl their napkins in the air, that was kinda cute.

DH and I are going to try it for lunch, I like the menu for lunch better than dinner....will let you know how it was next month!

I love the atmospher at Tony's but if you're expecting a delicious Italian meal there you will be disappointed. We have gone a few times thinking that maybe we just had an "off" day and should give it another chance. Wrong. Your local Olive Garden does better Italian food.

Dinner was very poor when we ate there last month. Steak was tough. It came with two fries and one spear of brocolini. We were totally unimpressed.

I agree with the post above that R&C was not good at all. We went there because it was one of the only places in WS that had an ADR for the day of. I am not a fish person so I got the pot roast and it was by far the worst pot roast I have ever have. My daughter's beef and macaroni was also not tasty at all. My wife said her fish was ok. The bread however was very good. I would seriously consider eating somewhere else

Mama's has been food and atmosphere than Tony's. We did both on our recent trip. I say do Mama's and replace Tony's with something else...
