Headed in 2 weeks....gonna give Tony's another try (fingers crossed)!!! Seems like they've made some improvements...anyone been recently and have anything to say?TIA!

I haven't been, but the Disboards Podcast team re-visited there somewhat recently and gave it a pretty decent review. You may want to look up their review on YouTube. My take-away... its still nothing remarkable (Olive Garden-esque), but the current management seems to be making improvements. Based on their review, I considered trying it in October, but ultimately decided to go elsewhere.

We visited in June and my 18yr and 16yr sons had dinner there while hubby and I headed to Narccoses for anniversary dinner. Both my son's enjoyed the chicken parm dinner. We live in the northeast and get some pretty good Italian food here. So I would say it was a pretty good dinner for them.

I went in July. My niece had a pasta sampler and my daughter and I had spaghetti and meatballs. I have exceedingly low expectations for restaurant Italian food having grown up on homemade stuff. So if it tastes like Chef Boyardee I’m ok with it, that’s my expectation. My niece said her fettuccine was really good. I thought the meatballs were good. The spaghetti? Inedible. My niece ran from the table and threw up. It tasted like the spaghetti noodles had boiled and sta in water for hours. They were mushy and disintegrated once they hit my mouth. It was really gross. Sauce was ok. Service was fantastic. Didn’t make a big deal about the pasta to our server, although maybe we should have. I would hope this isn’t the norm there.

My wife and I went in May on a spur of the moment decision. We had a really nice caprasee salad and chicken and pesto. Really enjoyed everything from the food, wait staff, and the window seat to watch the parade. Will be heading back on next trip!

I dont see chicken and pesto on the menu. Did you mean the ravioli with chicken breast?

in my trips to Disney it is the one place I have had no desire ever to eat there. While waiting for the keys to the kingdom tour again I have had the chance to walk around the restaurant early in the morning and it looks very beautiful inside but the food looks very unedible and I don't think I would want to eat there.

Lol. You have great instincts. I'd trust your gut on this. IMHO the food is pretty bad. Until it either gets a complete refurb or consistently stellar reviews, i doubt i'll go back.

We went on 8/16. It was more than fine, but not great. For our kids Italian food (even mediocre Italian food, maybe *especially* mediocre Italian food) is a slam dunk. It's the only table service for dinner in the MK that interested us so we went. I would probably go to one of the monorail resort restaurants instead next time.

Service was excellent, as was ambiance. We started with the calamari, which was standard and heavily breaded. Not the worst I've ever had, but not great. Cheese on the kids pizza and the entrees were notably low quality. The texture of the gnocchi was a little chewy. The chicken parm was tasty except for the low quality cheese on top. DH had the grilled shrimp dish and thought it was small, but tasty. The tiramisu dessert was great. 2 kids meals, 1 app, 2 entrees, 1 dessert and one "quartino" of wine was around $160 with tip.

My review sounds negative, but I'm still not negative on Tonys. I have a soft spot for the theming and really mediocre Italian food is fun once in a while. For a family dinner I think it's great but I certainly wouldn't go there for a date night.

We went in August. I had never tried it because of all of the bad reviews. We were a family of 11, and everybody loved it. We are a food snob Italian family from New York. The service was great, the ambiance was great, the food was great. We will definitely go back. Sometimes you have to try things for yourself.

This is great to hear! We are trying it for the first time in December.

We loved all the food we tried. There were 4 if us so we tried many things. Everything was great, but the tiramisu was fantastic.

Tony's was one of our best meals last May. I do not eat shrimp and was able to substitute chicken in the shrimp scampi. The service was great. We sat on the patio at 11:30. It was a nice change.

We ate here in January & August.
We like Tony’s, the service & theming are great.
I would not recommend the steak dish. I ordered this in August & it was so tough, I couldn’t eat it.
They fixed me the shrimp risotto, didn’t charge me for either of those meals & gave me a fastpass coupon for our group for any ride except SDMT.
