Need help deciding which one to choose before our Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Which one would you choose- tony's Town Square or Whispering Canyon Cafe?
Tony's has the most disgusting food i've ever had at disney. I will never go there again. My chicken parm was inedible. My sons spag & balls were so nasty, i tried it and couldnt swallow it. Just awful. Service sucked too. Dessert was good, but thats about it. My vote is for whispering canyon.
I honestly think the tomato sauce ruined all the meals at tony's. People who have ordered non-tomato sauce dishes such as steak or calamari seemed to have enjoyed their meals.
DH and I like them both. I agree that it might be nice to stay in the MK if you're already there. If not, I would go to WCC because it's just a lot of fun and the food is good. BTW Tony's gets a lot of bad ink here, but we've eaten there three times over the years and have never had a bad meal or bad service. We do tend to order the steak though...hope this helps!
WCC is great and a lot of fun if you get the right waitress, the kids do games and ride around on stick horses, You will be pleased with WCC
The next question is, when going to Mickeys Christmas, there are so many eat places open, why would you consider Tony's, If you want to grab a fast, not so good hot dog maybe, Liberty tree stays open plus, star traders too name a few, plus Mickey gives out FREE HOT CHOCOLATE at many places.
My advice would depend on what time "before" MVMCP is ... if you are looking to arrive at MK at about 4 PM and only use your party ticket for park admission my vote would be for a midafternoon (2 ish) "lunch/dinner" at WCC ... that way you can get to MK right at 4PM and get in some rides before the party festivities start. (This is what we did the one time we went to MVMCP and it worked out great.)
If you plan on being in MK all day anyway (using a MYW ticket for the morning/afternoon and the MVMCP ticket for the evening) then my vote would be to stay in the MK to avoid the "changeover crowds" at the entrance. I've never eaten at Tony's (we're trying it on our upcoming trip) but I highly recommend lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern ... it's heavier fare so if you do this later in the afternoon it will tide you over until you're ready for the treats offered at the party!
