I am looking for reviews for Tony's Italian, at the main entrance of WDW. I read one review which was very poor and I wanted to see what other people thought of the restaraunt. I can recommend other dining for people - especially Cinderella's Royal Table. Thanks.

We've always loved Tony's. I can't remember anything specific though! We're eating there for lunch the last day of our Sept. trip - I like the theme and atmosphere and we like Italian. I've always had really nice, friendly servers.

If you read a couple of the dining reviews going on right now a few people have recently ate at Tonys and were very happy with their meal. We are eating there next month I figure everyone has their own taste so we will try it once.

All I can honestly tell you is this. If you like BUITONI® pasta, you will probably like Tony's Town Square. If you don't like BUITONI® pasta, you probably won't. The rest is really up to you.

Enjoy the Magic, whatever you decide!

We've eaten at Tony's several times and always enjoyed it, but then again it's pretty hard to mess up spaghetti.

We enjoy Tony's...their cannelloni in creme sauce is wonderful! My husband and daughter normally get the NY strip and have always been very happy with it as well. The service can sometimes be "spotty" but all-in-all, it is a good choice for us. Have fun and EAT MUCH!:goodvibes

We tried it twice and hated it both times. Loved the atmosphere but hated the food. Try for youself though!!!

It's not going to be "authentic" Italian food, or 5 star dining, but I'd put it up there with maybe Olive Garden. I usually order chicken parm or spaghetti. It's always been tasty and the service has always been great.

another extremely disappointed diner -

I loved the atmosphere at check in - when we were seated, we waited 30 min before our server came by (I know this because they give a ticket with the time, just as I was starting to look at it our serverr came from the place she was standing and grabbed it out of my hand)

things went down hill - Our steaks werent what was described (and they were of different thicknesses, and different quality) there was no sauce on top (or mushrooms as described)

I spoke to the manager, I wrote a letter... we didnt tip 20%

but I agree with pp - you get to decide - maybe we were on an off night - there was a lot of stress, we had hopes of seeing Spectro, not being at Tony's for 2 1/2 hours - it was crowded and children were running around putting their hands in the fountain (again, stressful)

We ate at Tony's right before the MVMCP in Dec of 2006 and really enjoyed it.
I am planning on having lunch there solo in a few weeks.

In just a little over a month, we will be back In The World. Tony's is one of our ADR's. Can't wait to get back and have some of their awesome tiramisu. :thumbsup2

We've been there twice, and really enjoyed it the first time but our most recent visit was pretty bad. Bad service, bad food, all around bad.

The tiramisu was great, though.

We love Tony's for Lunch

The Calamari is excellent and they make some really good pannini sandwiches.

We just ate there a week ago....
I'll preface this by saying that I am Italian...so I have a hard time eating at most Italian restaurants and I always stay away from Italian CHAIN restaurants lol That being said, I went into Tony's with low expectations.... (and a plan to avoid anything "fancy")

Service...it was very good.... Food? The calamari was great....my chicken caesar was very good, too... DH said his steak was great, too... DS (almost 5) hated his food b/c he is accustomed to MY "sauce"....

I say, give it a try.... It won't kill you ;)

I'm Italian too. The previous poster that equated it to Olive Garden is probably about right, although I'm sure the steaks and calamari, etc. are a step up from that. I've had much better, but I love the atmosphere and just being there so that makes it better. (The same way that an ice cream cone tastes better at the beach even if it's same ice cream.)

Make an ADR though -- they often don't take walk-ins!

I ate lunch there in 2003 and then again just a week and a half ago and it is pretty much the same. It is good enough but not spectacular. I would agree that it is on par with a chain restaurant. It certainly is nt bad but it is not great either.
