Can you tell me your experiences with this character breakfast.

I have looked for a while and am not able to find much on the topic. We will be doing this grand gathering on October 1st for the 40th anniversary.

I was hoping to know about the food, the characters and your breakfast experience overall.
TIA

Does anyone have this booked for an upcoming grand gathering experience?

I find it hard to beleive that no one has been to it. I can't beleive it would be so hard to find out anything about it.

Every other dining experience you hear something about it, this one nothing. So odd to me.

Curious on this one as well since we are planning on booking it next year. The very few reviews I have seen say it is a good deal for 1 credit. I have read that the food is good and the show is "cute". Everyone was more excited about getting a picture of the castle with Main Street USA being empty. Sorry I am not much help but hopefully someone will chime in.

My group did this breakfast last December. The food was ok. Looked like powdered eggs to those who ate them. They served each person a plate with items on it - eggs/one slice of bacon/one sausage/scoop of hash browns. Then they came and put more in the middle of the table for those who wanted it. They also had muffins. We had to ask several times as our server was not the best but again - we were in no hurry either. It was very organized as far as seating and how the characters - once they came out circulated. Just like a Chef Mickey or other breakfasts with characters. They give you a special pin at the end that you can show as a fastpass to go right into Philharmagic (sp?). We had one child with us and it was interactive at the end where Tony (main guy at Tony's with the mustache) called up all children to dance up front with the characters. It was a cute show - breakfast nothing special. We would not chose to do this again since we felt it was not worth the expense unless you want to have the experience with the characters. They had Mickey/Minnie/Donald/Goofy/Pluto

Good to know! Thanks for sharing your experience!
I sure hope they are not powdered eggs, that might do DH right in. I was hoping that on the 1st of October they would be really busy and put on an extra good show since it is the 40th anniversary and all.

We are looking forward to the characters, but we were hoping for more than eggs and toast and bacon.

Did they have fruit, pancakes or mickey waffles? I had known it was served family style, but I was hoping for a variety.

I appreciate the responses so far, please keep them coming!

I know of a group that is looking into this. I would like to know if they serve an "entree" other than eggs. I probably won't join them if they go, but knowing all they serve is eggs will make the decision easier.

We went in January with our friends. We all enjoyed it very much! The character interaction was excellent, and the kids had a lot of fun. The characters didn't seem as rushed. We had a great table at the front and Minnie kept coming over to admire my girls' pins. Tony invites all the kids up to do the hokey Pokey with the characters. It was really sweet. The food is served family style, with as many refills as you would like. There was scrambled eggs, Mickey waffles, bacon, sausage, pastries, hash browns, juice and coffee. The food was just as good as anywhere else. If you'd like a sit-down breakfast rather than a buffet where you keep having to get up it is a great choice.

Any of you considering any grand gathering dinners better do is soon. They are ending January 28th, 2012.
