We have an 8:20 ADR for Tony's if we had outdoor seating would we be able to see the PM spectromagic show? And how good would the view be?
I can remember how high the patio is, I am thinking it was only 4/5 steps.

thanks Greg

We have eaten there the last 2 xmas weeks and we were seated the conservatory both times and had a great view of the Spectro floats. We did not ask to sit outdoors or in the conservatory, but that's where we ended up and really enjoyed the view. You will not be allowed on the outside patio seating during the parade(CM are posted), nor can you stand by the glass windows in the conservatory, so everyone in that room has a nice view. Our adr was 8:30(I think).

I have four simple words for you.....Tony's=JUST SAY NO!:scared:

We have a 6:55 ADR for an 8:00 Spectro. Is that too early? Also, if we're not seated outside, do they have a location for those dining inside to stand & watch the parade from? TIA

Tony's is very quick with service and you will be done way before 8pm with usual timing. There is no place for you to stand and watch..as I said before, they will not let you go out and stand on the outdoor patio where people are dining (CM block the doorways) and you can't stand in the conservatory room for the same reason. If you are seated in the conservatory room, ask for appetizers first and then order meal to prolong the meal..otherwise you may be done early. Also if Spectro start at Main st, you will see it at 8pm, if it starts in Frontierland, it takes about 20 min to get to Main st.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll call back & ask for a later time. We're used to ordering an appetizer & dessert, so I was thinking it would take longer. I was also thinking that getting there before many of the "Spectro" diners may give us a better chance of being seated outside. So, what time should I try for?

Just so I'm clear..... if we're seated inside, we can't even go to the porch to watch Spectro? Does that mean we'll have to miss the parade, if we don't get a coveted conservatory table? If we have a chance of missing the parade completely, I'm not sure I want to eat at Tony's. ;)

When we ate there we had ddp and also had appetizer entree and dessert and were still out in less than hour. You CANNOT get up and go to the outdoor eating area of the restaurant..this is so that you do not disrupt the dinners eating and the area is very small. If you eat in the main dining area, you cannot see any of the parade;if you are sitting in the conservatory, you can see the parade as it circles around the flag area. Again, you can ask when you check in where you would like to sit, but we got a great table both times in the conservatory without even requesting. If you tell them you will wait for a table in the conservatory, I think you should be fine.

I took your advice, & called for a later ADR. I booked 7:25 pm. Is that a better time? I read today that Spectro starts on Main Street. I'm not sure if that's always the case or not. We haven't seen it in 2 or 3 years. Thanks again for the advice.
