Tony's for dinner

We love Tony's and it has become our tradition to eat there for one of our first meals and our last meal :woohoo:

We tried Tony's for the first time 2 years ago and loved it. We decided to go back again in November for our last night in. We had one of our best meals of the week at Tony's. It's definitely one of our faves!

We went against all the post on the dis and ate there our last trip and enjoyed it. I forget what my Dh had but I had the mushroom ravioli and they were awesome.

In 12 trips I have never been for dinner, went years ago for breakfast but we have an ADR for Sept and Im really looking fwd to it

Glad to here all the good reviews I too will be booking for my up coming trip. Like to try a couple of new places every time I get a chance to make a trip.

The food has always been acceptable there, but for some unknown reason, service is often lacking.

The one other thing is that it is insanely cold in there. Every time we've been in the past 3 years, it's been cold. Prior to that it was pleasantly cooled. By cold, I mean so cold that I got up and went outside between courses just to warm up. So cold it was difficult to enjoy my meal.

We ate there last trip and plan to eat there again in 2 weeks. We both got the chicken parm and for apps I got mozzerella & tomato & DH got side salad. It was Olive Garden quality but it was good. Our server was very friendly & always checked on us. We had no complaints and will return.

Thanks for all of reviews. I think we will try it on our next trip. Can you eat on the porch? I read that some say they ate while watching the parade. If Spectromagic is at 8:00, what time should I make the ressies?

We ate at Tonys and I was not expecting anything great...and a good thing too because it was not even good. :confused3 The thing is that I would just settle for mediocre even...but yuck! The servers weren't nice either...not rude...just not nice.

We are in the "Will Not Return" camp.:sad2:

I think Tonys depends on the people my family our not very big on Garlic so we hated Tonys . While my brother and his Family would love it for the food. Our service was not even close to good . We have not been back since 2005.

Oh boy. We have a reservation for Tony's in August and I've never been before. This thread has me slightly concerned now. The thing is, my family is straight off the plane from Italy, I cook everything homemade and I just can't do Olive Garden. I promise I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but I'm just trying to give people a feel of my *distaste* :sad2: for low quality Italian food. Our first full day in WDW will be at MK because its my birthday and that's my favorite park. I booked Tony's hoping for a nice restaurant to celebrate my birthday and now I'm worried. Should I cancel and try to get a res elsewhere? If so, does anyone have any suggestions??? Help DISers!!

Oh good, I must have missed this post because this is what I actually planned on getting!! I feel a little bit better now. DH will probably get the veggie lasagna, does anyone have any experience with that??

Go to Tutto Italia Ristorante instead.

Tony's is great, and my kids love all of the hidden Lady & The Tramp stuff as well as watching the parade from the porch, but if you want something more authentic, then go to Tutto.

This is true, I've been to Tutto before and I do enjoy it but I was hoping to stick to MK. I'll definitely take this into consideration though, I guess I was so stuck on MK that I didn't even think about going to another park. :confused3 Thanks!

We loved Tony's! I had some of the best spaghetti and meatballs i've ever had in a restaurant there. I posted my pics on the food picture thread from our dining just a day or two ago. This restaurant does seem to get some poor reviews, and after dining there I have no clue why; it was great!
