Hellooo! I just got back from a wonderful week in the world and here's my dining review of Tonys Town Square and Ohanas Best Friends breakfast!
Tony's Town Square
Our ADR was at 5:20p on May 26th, before the Pirate and Princess Party. We got to there at 5:10ish and our wait was less than 5 mins. We were seated and the waiter gave us a long speech about how they serve coke products (as if we werent aware?
) after the spiel, we ordered drinks and DBF had a coffee and I had the pirate punch (raspberry lemonade) to get the tinkerbell clip light for DBFs neice lol.
The lemonade gave me a stomach ache but DBF said his coffee was fine. He asked me why I wanted to know and told him I was going to do a dining review for the DIS and he got REALLY into it like commenting on things as he was eating it was so funny
So the waiter came with our drinks and told us he would be bringing out the bread soon. It took almost 25 mins to get our bread. We were chatting so we didn't notice right away but when DBF checked his phone he realized how long it took.
When we got the bread I was sort of shocked to see a little bowl of olive oil with what looked like was just some pepper in it. It was disgusting and on top of that, you would think the bread would soak up some of the oil, but it didnt at all. Overall, it was gross to be literally eating straight olive oil.
Then the waiter took our order and we waited for 35 mins for our food. DBF ordered the NY Strip Steak (medium rare) and I ordered the Spaghetti with meatballs.
Spaghetti;
The sauce was more oil than tomato and wasnt very good at all. I like pasta with sauce that sticks to the pasta rather than is just chunks of tomato and the rest is oil/grease. It looked (and tasted) like they used what was left of the jar and threw some tomato chunks in there to make it look like there was enough sauce which there wasnt at all. The meatballs on the other hand were huge and tasted like homemade ones like my mom makes, they were delish and very filling.
Strip Steak
The steak was fine. It wasn't out of this world or anything special, just a steak. Better than the spaghetti, but still just a steak.
We didn't get dessert but as we were waiting (40 mins to clear our plates and get the check) DBF was going into Food Reviewer mode and was giving his full review at this time
He was like "The spaghetti was bad, the steak was okay, tell your DIS friends this place is NOT worth the money I give it a C-"
So Overall; Not worth the money, bad food, even worse service, C-, we don't recommend this place and will never go back.
Now on to the good news!!
Ohana's Best Friend Breakfast
DBF and I both love Lilo and Stitch so we opted for the Ohana Best Friends Breakfast and Im SOOO glad we did. Ill show you the pictures and review underneath
We asked for a window seat and got it! Some of the view!
Breakfast foods! The pineapple bread was SOO yummy,as was the juice!
Pineapple bread, cinnamon bread, and Lilo and Stitch's favorite drink!
Fresh fruit and breakfast platter with potatoes, eggs, biscuits and sausages.
And mini-mickey waffles!
Characters!
^The last one is so funny, Pluto posed with DBF like a normal pose, and then he crawls on the floor over to me and just starts sniffing me with his HUGE nose and of course thats the picture DBF took! I was laughing so hard it was SO unexpected but it was so cute!
Food time!
So we left Shades Of Green bright and early at 7 to walk to the Poly at a nice slow leisurely pace. We got up the stairs and checked in, asked for our window seat and waited about 10 mins till they opened. At 7:30, all the servers (cousins since everyone is Family!!) did this cute little song and dance sound off thing. It was adorable and a great way to start the day. We got our lleis and were lead to our table next to the window where we had the pineapple and cinnamon bread with the wonderful juice they have there. Everything was amazing, even picky-picky-never-tries-anything DBF liked it!
After that our Cousin Jeannie came over and explained how the buffet worked. She said it was a lazy buffet because we didn't have to get up haha.
They brought over the skillet and I got some potatoes,a sausage and a biscuit since I don't like eggs. Everything was So so so so good! The sausage was a little to spicy for me but other than that it was all delish. The biscuit was so so good and the potatoes were cooked perfectly and the seasoning on them was great!
We were planning on eating quick and leaving to get to EMH at MK but we ate at our regular pace and were surprised to see all 4 characters in a really timely fashion.
All in all everything was top notch and delish! We will DEF be going there again. A+ food and service!
Soooooo that's my review for Tony's and Ohanas!
Any questions let me know!
