Is there a way to eat a late lunch at Tonys and view the parade from their outdoor seating?

From what I heard the view is not good at all(cant see much)

When you check in for your reservation you can ask to be seated on the patio, but it is only a request and not guaranteed. Others will have the same plan. You'll be able to see the tops of the floats, but there will be people standing at the curb that will obstruct your view of the performers and lower half of the floats.
