Hi,

I had tickets to go in October, unfortunately as I think you know they are cancelling the show form some time in September.

I would have really loved to do this dinner show.It is on in Las Vegas, you could see if you can find a review of that on the 'net,I'm sure it will be very similiar to the Orlando show.

Hi Ralphly,

We did Tony and Tina's 3 weeks ago. We knew nothing about it before we went and I must say I was a bit apprehensive because nobody knew anything about it. However we had a great time. I would say that to enjoy it you can't be easily embarrassed because the performers are around you the whole time and are interacting with everybody.

The basic idea is that you're attending the wedding and reception of Tony and Tina who are from Italian American families. You either get put on the groom's side (the Nunzios) or the bride's side (the Vitales) and chaos ensues!!! There's a nun, a drunk priest, a lap dancer (she keeps her clothes on!), Granny Vitale (who's mad as a brush), the bride's very angry ex-boyfriend and a heavily pregnant bridesmaid amongst a few other members of the extended families. These characters are all played by actors who work to a storyline and parts of the show are scripted but most of the time they improvise.

Whilst all this carries on around you, you get fed (the food's okay, nothing spectacular - salad, chicken, pasta and wedding cake!). You're not forced to join in, lots of the people sat back and let it all happen around them. However you have more fun if you interact with the characters. One little girl asked the father of the bride to dance with her which entertained everyone and yes, as all dad's are, he was a very bad dancer! Some of the humour tends towards the adult side of things but no worse than your average wedding and most it went over the heads of the kids.
In short, we had a great evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a shame they're closing it.

I should have said that it's at the Soulfire Theatre at Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlets.

Edie :D
